Business Systems Lead - ERP & Business Applications

Our client, a well-established and growing precision manufacturing organization serving highly regulated, high-demand industries, is seeking a Business Systems Lead to support, optimize, and enhance their enterprise business systems.
This is a high-impact role where you'll partner with operations, supply chain, production, finance, customer service, and executive leadership to improve processes, develop reporting solutions, and drive continuous improvement across the organization. The ideal candidate has experience supporting ERP systems within a manufacturing environment and possesses strong SQL skills for reporting, data analysis, and business intelligence.

What You'll Be Doing
ERP & Business Systems Support
- Serve as the primary functional resource for the company's ERP system and related business applications
- Support day-to-day ERP operations across multiple departments
- Troubleshoot system issues and partner with IT, business users, and third-party vendors to resolve them
- Participate in system upgrades, enhancements, testing, implementations, and ongoing optimization initiatives
- Ensure data integrity, system reliability, and overall ERP performance
Business Process Improvement
- Partner with Operations, Production, Supply Chain, Purchasing, Customer Service, Sales, Quality, and Finance to improve business processes
- Analyze current workflows and identify opportunities for increased efficiency and automation
- Support key manufacturing processes including production planning, inventory management, purchasing, order management, and financial operations
- Develop and maintain process documentation, SOPs, and best practices
Reporting, Analytics & SQL Development
- Develop, maintain, and optimize SQL queries, reports, and dashboards
- Extract and analyze business data to support operational and executive decision-making
- Create KPIs, dashboards, and reporting solutions using SQL, Excel, Power BI, or similar BI tools
- Perform trend analysis, data validation, and ad hoc reporting to support business initiatives
User Support & Training
- Provide ERP support and training to end users across the organization
- Create user documentation and training materials
- Serve as a trusted resource for system questions and process improvements
- Collaborate with IT to ensure timely issue resolution and ongoing system enhancements
What We're Looking For
- 3-7+ years of experience supporting ERP systems, business applications, or business systems analysis
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment is required
- Strong SQL skills with experience writing queries, extracting data, and developing reports
- Solid understanding of manufacturing business processes and operational workflows
- Experience partnering with cross-functional business teams to improve processes and systems
- Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, Power Query, and complex formulas
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with any major ERP platform (Epicor, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Infor, JD Edwards, NetSuite, Plex, or similar)
- Experience with Power BI, SSRS, or other business intelligence/reporting tools
- Manufacturing reporting and KPI development
- Experience supporting MRP, inventory, production planning, purchasing, or supply chain functions
- EDI, system integrations, or multi-site manufacturing experience
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $75,000-$85,000 annually
