Job Title: Epicor Eclipse Developer - PICK Programming
Location: Remote
Onsite Requirements: Fully Remote
Compensation Range: $70-$90/hour on 1099; W2 rate may vary
Benefits: Contract opportunity; flexible weekly hours with a preference for consistent, recurring hours
Our client is seeking an experienced Epicor Eclipse Developer to provide hands-on development and business analysis support for a high-priority 2026 initiative.
This role is ideal for a developer who can do more than simply write code. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing business requirements, designing solutions, and executing the development work within the Epicor Eclipse environment.
The primary project involves developing a solution that will allow freight estimates from a third-party system to be pulled directly into Eclipse during Sales Order Entry. The current process does not display estimated freight costs until an order ships, creating significant cost discrepancies and customer pushback. This individual will play a key role in helping design and implement a better solution.
- Analyze, design, and develop solutions within the Epicor Eclipse environment using PICK programming
- Lead development efforts for a high-priority project integrating third-party freight estimates directly into Eclipse Sales Order Entry
- Evaluate existing Eclipse functionality and determine the best approach for incorporating freight estimates and costs earlier in the order-entry process
- Develop, test, troubleshoot, and deploy custom Eclipse solutions using PICK, Eclipse Solar, and Eterm
- Support enhancements related to Shipping, Sales Order Entry, and Sales Order dates
- Work directly with business stakeholders to understand requirements, identify gaps, and translate business needs into technical solutions
- Analyze existing processes and code to identify opportunities for automation and improved efficiency
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues within the Eclipse environment
- Provide ongoing development and enhancement support as additional business needs arise
Must-have qualifications that candidates must meet to be considered.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Epicor Eclipse
- Strong PICK programming experience within the Eclipse environment
- Ability to independently analyze requirements, design solutions, and execute development from concept through implementation
- Strong understanding of Eclipse Solar and Eterm
- Experience working with Sales Order Entry and Shipping functionality within Eclipse
- Ability to troubleshoot existing Eclipse code and develop custom solutions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment and communicate effectively with business stakeholders
Nice-to-have skills that would make a candidate more competitive but are not required.
- Experience integrating third-party systems or external data sources with Epicor Eclipse
- Experience with freight, shipping, order entry, or transportation-related integrations
- Experience automating manual processes within Eclipse
- Experience working with APIs, middleware, or other integration technologies
- Previous experience designing solutions based on business requirements rather than working solely from predefined technical specifications
- Experience supporting wholesale distribution or similar ERP environments
- Ability to commit to a consistent weekly schedule, even if working approximately 10 hours per week
