Senior Product Manager - Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI)
Pay Rate: $80-$90/hr (W2, No sponsorship)
Location: Chicago, IL (Onsite Tuesday-Thursday)
We are seeking a Senior Product Manager with strong Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) expertise to lead product strategy, stakeholder engagement, and delivery initiatives within a healthcare environment. This role will drive solutions that improve documentation quality, coding accuracy, compliance, reimbursement, and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities- Define and execute product vision, strategy, and roadmap for CDI solutions.
- Partner with clinical, coding, HIM, revenue cycle, technology, and executive stakeholders.
- Lead product discovery, requirements gathering, and workflow assessments.
- Translate business needs into product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Manage product backlog and prioritize features based on business value and customer impact.
- Drive Agile product development through planning, testing, releases, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure solutions support inpatient and outpatient CDI workflows.
- Use customer feedback, analytics, and market insights to guide product decisions.
- Present product strategy, progress, and recommendations to leadership.
- 8+ years of experience in Product Management, Product Ownership, Healthcare Technology, Clinical Operations, or Revenue Cycle.
- Strong Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) experience, including workflows, programs, or technology solutions.
- Knowledge of clinical documentation, coding, reimbursement, quality reporting, and healthcare operations.
- Experience supporting inpatient and outpatient CDI environments.
- Proven track record leading complex cross-functional initiatives from strategy to implementation.
- Experience working with physicians, CDI teams, coding professionals, HIM, revenue cycle, and technology stakeholders.
- Strong Agile product management experience, including roadmap planning, backlog management, and release delivery.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, or Business, IT, Clinical Sciences, or a related field.
- Experience leading enterprise CDI product strategy or transformation initiatives.
- Experience with healthcare analytics, AI, clinical decision support, or healthcare data products.
- Product Management, CDI, Healthcare, or Agile certifications.
