Dallas, TX
Hybrid Role (3 days a week onsite required)
Contract role
Rate: $80-$90/hour


The Planet Group has partnered with a Dallas area company to locate a Product Specialist with Extensive experience Master Data Management (MDM)  for a contract role.

The successful candidate will lead the vision, strategy, and delivery of an enterprise MDM platform.

In this role, you'll partner with business leaders, architects, engineers, data governance teams, and analytics professionals to build a trusted foundation for enterprise data that supports critical business operations, reporting, AI initiatives, and strategic decision-making.


Responsibilities:

  • Own the product roadmap, vision, and backlog for the enterprise MDM platform.
  • Partner with Data Governance, Data Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, and business stakeholders to prioritize platform enhancements and business initiatives.
  • Translate business needs into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and prioritized backlog items for Agile development teams.
  • Lead backlog refinement, sprint planning, and prioritization activities to ensure delivery of high-value capabilities.
  • Champion initiatives that improve master data quality, governance, stewardship, entity matching, survivorship rules, and lifecycle management.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver scalable, reliable enterprise data solutions.
  • Drive adoption of enterprise data standards and governance best practices.
  • Support enterprise integrations with APIs, analytics platforms, operational systems, and data warehouses.
  • Define and track KPIs around platform adoption, data quality, and business value.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage AI and automation to improve data stewardship and operational efficiency.
  • Communicate product strategy, priorities, and roadmap to executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • 5+ years of Product Owner or Product Management experience supporting enterprise data platforms or Master Data Management initiatives.
  • 10+ years of experience in Product Management, Business Analysis, Data Management, or related enterprise technology roles.
  • Experience managing Agile product backlogs and working closely with software engineering teams.
  • Strong understanding of Master Data Management concepts including:
    • Golden Records
    • Match & Merge
    • Entity Resolution
    • Survivorship Rules
    • Data Stewardship
    • Data Quality
    • Data Governance
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Experience making data-driven prioritization decisions in complex enterprise environments.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience with Informatica MDM (strongly preferred).
  • Experience with Informatica Data Quality (IDQ), Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS), or related Informatica products.
  • Experience supporting Customer, Supplier, Vendor, Product, Contract, or other enterprise master data domains.
  • Familiarity with Azure, SQL, APIs, and enterprise data integration.
  • Experience in healthcare, healthcare supply chain, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Exposure to enterprise data governance, metadata management, data catalog, or AI-enabled data management initiatives.
  • CSPO, PSPO, or other Scrum Product Owner certification is a plus.
