Job Description

Title Asset Management Operations Associate
Location  Salt Lake City UT 84101
 6 month contract 

We are seeking an Associate-level professional with 2-5 years of experience to support ongoing strategic initiatives, automation efforts, operational improvements, and day-to-day change management activities during a temporary leave coverage period.

The ideal candidate will have experience within financial services operations and be comfortable working across business and technical teams to support process improvement, reporting, automation, testing, and implementation activities.

Core Functional Skills
  • Experience within Asset Management, Wealth Management, Client Reporting, Fund Administration, or related financial services operations
  • Strong understanding of operational processes, controls, workflows, and data flows
  • Ability to document business requirements, processes, and workflows
  • Experience supporting process improvement and operational efficiency initiatives
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Automation & Data Skills
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables, Power Query, formulas, and data analysis
  • Experience with reporting and automation tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, Seismic, SmartDX, or similar platforms
  • Ability to analyze data sources, identify manual processes, and support automation opportunities
  • Basic understanding of data governance, data quality, and reconciliation processes
  • Familiarity with SQL or data querying tools preferred
Change Management & Project Support
  • Experience coordinating change initiatives across multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to manage project plans, action items, testing activities, and implementation tracking
  • Support UAT, process documentation, and rollout communications
  • Comfortable working across Operations, Technology, Product, and Business teams
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to consistently follow up on open items
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Stakeholder Management
  • Strong communication skills with both business and technical stakeholders
  • Experience facilitating meetings and gathering business requirements
  • Ability to track action items and drive follow-up through completion
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
Preferred Background
  • 2-5 years of experience in Asset Management Operations, Client Reporting, Fund Operations, or related financial services functions
  • Experience supporting reporting transformation, process automation, or operational excellence initiatives
  • Familiarity with alternative investments, fund reporting, or investor reporting processes is a plus
Key Responsibilities
  • Support automation initiatives and reporting transformation efforts
  • Assist with project coordination and change management activities
  • Document business processes, controls, requirements, and workflows
  • Coordinate testing, implementation activities, and stakeholder communications
  • Provide operational support and help execute strategic priorities
  • Track issues, risks, dependencies, and action items
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and reduce manual work
  • Support data analysis, reporting, reconciliation, and operational controls
  • Partner with business and technical teams to ensure initiatives move forward on schedule
