Epic Credentialed Trainer II
Location: 100% Remote
Type: Contract
Duration: 12 Months
We're looking for an Epic Credentialed Trainer II to support Epic training, workflow adoption, and end-user enablement across healthcare environments.
This is an intermediate-level role for someone who can independently deliver standard Epic training, develop training materials, and partner with both technical and operational teams to ensure users are prepared for workflow changes, implementations, and go-lives.
What You'll Be Doing
- Develop role-based Epic training plans, curricula, lesson plans, job aids, quick-reference guides, knowledge articles, and adoption materials.
- Deliver instructor-led, virtual, train-the-trainer, go-live, floor support, and hypercare training.
- Train and support end users, super users, support teams, and operational leaders.
- Partner with Epic application analysts, principal trainers, project managers, product owners, service desk teams, and operational stakeholders to ensure training accurately reflects workflows.
- Manage training schedules, attendance, competency and feedback tracking, LMS materials, communications, and post-training remediation.
- Monitor adoption trends, recurring questions, support-ticket patterns, and training gaps.
- Identify opportunities to improve Epic documentation, workflows, and enablement materials.
- Independently handle standard Epic training delivery and updates while supporting medium-complexity workflow and training issues.
What We're Looking For
- Epic Credentialed Trainer status in the applicable Epic application or workflow area is required.
- 3-4 years of experience in Epic training, healthcare technology, or a related environment.
- Hands-on experience delivering Epic workflow-based training.
- Strong understanding of healthcare operations and the ability to translate Epic workflows into practical training for different user groups.
- Experience developing training curricula, lesson plans, job aids, and other learning materials.
- Experience with LMS platforms and training logistics.
- Strong facilitation and communication skills.
- Experience supporting go-lives, hypercare, and end-user adoption.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with application, project, and operational teams.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Education, Communications, Healthcare, Business, Information Systems, or a related field -- or equivalent professional experience.
Preferred: Epic certification, instructional design experience, healthcare operations experience, or change-management certification.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is someone who is comfortable being the bridge between Epic workflows and the people using them -- someone who can take a complex workflow, understand how it impacts different roles, and turn it into clear, practical training that users can actually apply.
