Introduction
We are seeking an experienced Epic EHR Consultant to join our team on a remote basis. This role supports Epic integration systems within a healthcare setting and requires close collaboration with clinical staff, including physicians and registered nurses, to translate business needs into effective EMR functionality.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Support a strong understanding of inpatient workflows, clinical operations, and IT strategy
- Contribute to EHR implementation plans, including scope and timelines
- Manage sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and strong interpersonal skills
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with clients, team members, managers, and vendors
- Implement, build, maintain, and optimize Epic integration systems
- Apply knowledge of Epic EMR software, operations, and workflow, partnering with clinical leaders to translate business needs into EMR functionality
- Work with various interfaces and related integrations using Epic knowledge
- Collaborate with clinics to identify workflow gaps and provide mutually agreeable solutions
- Support the design, build, testing, and implementation of Epic integration application systems
- Work with clinicians to create or adapt written protocols
- Troubleshoot issues and provide solutions to ongoing problems
- Epic certification
- 5 years of experience with Epic Bones
- 5 years of experience with Smart Text Build
- 5 years of experience with Ambulatory
- Healthcare industry experience, including working directly with doctors and RNs
- Inpatient experience
- Cadence experience
