Job Title: Epic Beaker / Lab Analyst III
Location: Remote Central Time Hours
Contract Length: 4 months with opportunity to extend
Compensation Range: $70-$78/hr. (W2 paid consultant required)
Our large consultancy client is seeking an Epic Beaker / Lab Analyst III to support Epic Beaker and laboratory workflows, including orders, specimens, result routing, instruments/interfaces, quality controls, and operational reporting. This role will focus on senior-level delivery, troubleshooting, optimization, documentation, and mentoring within lab services. A minimum of 5+ years in Epic Beaker is required.
- Build, validate, and support Epic Beaker/lab configuration including orderables, specimens, resulting, security, work queues, instruments, and interfaces
- Resolve lab workflow incidents, integration issues, upgrade impacts, and user requests
- Partner with lab operations, pathology, interface teams, reporting, trainers, vendors, and Epic stakeholders
- Develop test scripts, validation evidence, workflow documentation, runbooks, and downtime procedures
- Support quality, patient safety, regulatory needs, and turnaround-time improvement initiatives
- Own complex or escalated work and lead small enhancements or transition activities
- Mentor junior resources and improve operating procedures and service quality through root-cause analysis
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on Epic Beaker and laboratory systems experience (supporting lab workflows end-to-end), with an ability to coordinate across technical and operational stakeholders to deliver outcomes.
- Experience with troubleshooting workflow and integration/interface issues in a healthcare environment
- Strong testing, validation, and documentation experience (test scripts, evidence, runbooks)
- Epic Beaker CP/AP certification, accreditation, or proficiency preferred but not required.
