Target Compensation: $85,690 - $95,000 Starting Range
Annual Incentive: 6% Target Bonus

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading the daily activities of the maintenance team in a high-volume food manufacturing facility. This position oversees maintenance personnel, drives equipment reliability, ensures compliance with food safety standards, and partners with operations to support safe and efficient production. The ideal candidate combines strong maintenance leadership with food manufacturing experience and the ability to coach, develop, and hold employees accountable.
Team & Schedule
- Supervise approximately 13-17 mechanics
- Typically, 3-4 mechanics per shift
- Approximately 100 employees
- Schedule varies based on operational needs:
- 6:00 AM - 4:00 PM
- 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Occasional extended hours during planned maintenance activities
- Weekend work may be required periodically for projects or major maintenance events
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing maintenance
- Previous food manufacturing experience strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of:
- Food safety requirements
- GMPs
- Maintenance practices within a food production environment
- Experience supervising maintenance personnel and leading teams
- Strong mechanical maintenance background
- Experience creating and maintaining:
- SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures)
- OPLs (One Point Lessons)
- PMs (Preventive Maintenance procedures)
- Experience with CMMS systems
- Refrigeration experience
- Boiler systems experience
- Project management experience
- Proficiency with:
- Microsoft Excel
- Outlook
- Microsoft Teams
Candidates should demonstrate:
- Proven success leading maintenance teams
- Ability to manage difficult employee situations effectively and professionally
- Strong accountability standards for both self and team
- Effective communication across departments and shifts
- Ability to coach, mentor, and develop employees
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Collaborative approach to working with Operations and Plant Leadership
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair knowledge
- Maintenance planning and scheduling experience
- Preventive and predictive maintenance leadership
- Equipment reliability focus
- Ability to prioritize maintenance resources in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Project planning and execution skills
- Commitment to safety and continuous improvement initiatives
