Senior Business Analyst - AI & Cloud (Pharmaceutical Industry)
Location: Remote (U.S. - Eastern or Central Time preferred)
Employment Type: Long-Term Contract
Pay Rate: $65/hr. C2C
About the Opportunity
We're seeking an experienced Business Analyst to help drive the development of innovative AI-powered business solutions within a highly regulated pharmaceutical environment.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who combines strong pharmaceutical industry experience, AI and cloud technology exposure, and exceptional business analysis skills. You'll work closely with business stakeholders, data teams, and technical resources to define requirements for next-generation applications that leverage artificial intelligence and modern cloud platforms.

What You'll Do Business Analysis
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for AI-enabled applications.
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand processes, challenges, and desired outcomes.
- Translate business needs into detailed functional requirements and user stories.
- Develop process flows, use cases, acceptance criteria, and documentation.
- Facilitate workshops, requirement sessions, and solution reviews with both technical and business teams.
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and solution validation.
- Help define requirements for AI-driven business solutions.
- Collaborate with technical teams supporting machine learning and cloud-based applications.
- Assist in defining data quality, reporting, governance, and business rules.
- Support model evaluation, business validation, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Help ensure AI solutions align with business objectives and regulatory expectations.
- Serve as the liaison between business users and technical delivery teams.
- Work closely with product owners, developers, architects, and project managers throughout the project lifecycle.
- Support Agile delivery by participating in backlog refinement, sprint planning, and other Scrum ceremonies.
- Maintain project documentation using Jira and Confluence.
- Ensure business requirements support regulatory compliance within a highly regulated industry.
- Contribute to validation documentation, traceability, and audit readiness.
- Assist with change management and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of Business Analyst experience supporting enterprise software projects.
- Previous experience within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device, or other FDA-regulated industries.
- Experience supporting AI, Machine Learning, analytics, or cloud-based initiatives.
- Strong understanding of business process analysis, requirements gathering, and documentation.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Proficiency with Jira and Confluence.
- Working knowledge of SQL for data analysis and validation.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with any of the following is highly desirable:
- Google Cloud Platform, Azure, AWS, or other enterprise cloud platforms
- Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI, or Machine Learning initiatives
- Data governance, data lineage, or integration projects
- GxP, GAMP, CSV, CSA, or regulated software validation
- Enterprise systems such as SAP, Veeva, LIMS, MES, TrackWise, or Salesforce
- Business Analysis certifications (CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA) or Agile certifications
