Job Description

Epic Bones Consultant Healthcare Management Services Provider Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Epic Bones Consultant to support a major healthcare organization's orthopedic department implementation and optimization. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a high-impact Epic specialty module deployment in a collaborative healthcare environment. Position Details Location: Eastern Time Zone (100% Remote with possible travel for go-lives and on-site support)
Duration: 6 months (potential for extension based on project needs) 
Key Responsibilities

  • Support, build, test, and implement Epic Bones for orthopedic and sports medicine workflows
  • Configure orthopedic-specific workflows including joint injection support, location-based charting, and injury mapping
  • Develop Navigators, Flowsheets, and documentation templates tailored to orthopedic and surgical workflows
  • Manage pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative documentation within the Bones module
  • Design and configure specialty reporting for orthopedic metrics, surgical outcomes, and compliance tracking
  • Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons, OR staff, and clinical leadership to understand and implement best practice workflows
  • Lead clinical training sessions for orthopedic teams on Bones functionality and workflows
  • Participate in go-live preparation, hypercare support, and post-implementation optimization
Required Qualifications
  • Epic Bones Certified or equivalent professional certification in Epic orthopedic module
  • Minimum 4 years of hands-on Epic build experience with specialty modules
  • Demonstrated expertise in configuring Epic Bones workflows, Navigators, Flowsheets, and reporting
  • Strong understanding of orthopedic and sports medicine clinical workflows, terminology, and best practices
  • Experience with pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative documentation processes
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively translate clinical requirements into technical configurations
  • Proven ability to work with geographically distributed teams and offshore partners
  • COVID-19 vaccination required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Clinical background in orthopedics, nursing, or surgical services
  • Experience with Epic OpTime or other Epic surgical modules
  • Experience with integration between Bones and Epic Radiant (imaging) or other specialty modules
  • Prior go-live or implementation project experience
