Compliance Risk Analyst
Location: Marlborough, MA
Contract length: 12 months
Schedule: 40 hrs/week
Schedule: Hybrid - Tues and Wed
Pay: $40/hr - $44.5/hr, (DOE)
We are seeking a Compliance Risk Analyst with a strong background in Enterprise Risk, Governance, Compliance, Internal Audit, or Risk Management and exposure to AI Governance, AI Risk, or Responsible AI practices.
This role is part of a growing AI Governance Program and will help assess AI use cases, identify risks, implement governance controls, and ensure compliance with evolving AI regulations and organizational standards. The ideal candidate can work independently, influence stakeholders across the business, and help shape and mature an enterprise-wide AI governance framework.
This is not an AI development, engineering, data science, or IT-focused role. We are looking for a governance and risk professional who understands AI technologies well enough to assess risks, controls, regulatory obligations, and business impacts.
Key Responsibilities
- AI Governance & Risk Management
- Review AI use cases throughout their lifecycle, including intake, assessment, review, socialization, approval, and closure.
- Evaluate AI solutions for risk, compliance, legal, ethical, and governance considerations.
- Perform AI risk assessments focusing on:
- Bias & Fairness
- Transparency & Explainability
- Accuracy & Reliability
- Human Oversight
- Regulatory Compliance
- Model & Data Risks
- Maintain inventories of AI solutions, models, datasets, and third-party AI tools.
- Governance Program Development
- Support and enhance the organization's AI Governance Program.
- Help implement governance frameworks, processes, controls, and operating procedures.
- Develop governance documentation including:
- Risk Profiles
- Decision Logs
- Risk Registers
- Governance Playbooks
- Assessment Checklists
- RACI Documentation
- Compliance & Regulatory Support
- Assess AI initiatives against applicable regulatory and legal requirements.
- Support organizational adherence to evolving AI regulations and governance expectations.
- Partner with compliance, legal, audit, and privacy teams to address AI-related obligations.
- Monitoring & Reporting
- Produce governance metrics, dashboards, and executive reporting.
- Support audits and regulatory inquiries.
- Facilitate ongoing monitoring and periodic reviews of AI solutions.
- Assist with AI-related incident and risk management activities.
- Stakeholder Collaboration

Required Qualifications
- 5-8 years of Governance, Risk, Compliance, Audit, or Risk Management experience.
- 1-2 years of AI-related experience.

- Working knowledge of:

- Understanding of AI-related regulatory and compliance considerations.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience building or maturing governance programs.
- Familiarity with:
- Responsible AI Frameworks
- AI Governance Programs
- Model Cards
- Datasheets
- Risk Registers
- MLOps Governance
- Knowledge of AI regulations and emerging governance requirements.
- Experience with governance platforms such as:
- ServiceNow
- SharePoint
- Power Platform
