Our client is seeking an experienced Workday PATT Analyst to support and optimize their Workday environment, with a primary focus on Payroll, Absence, Time Tracking, and related downstream payroll integrations and configurations. This individual will serve as a key functional and technical resource supporting day-to-day Workday operations, payroll configuration activities, production support, system enhancements, and ongoing optimization initiatives.
The ideal candidate will possess strong hands-on Workday administration and configuration experience across the PATT landscape and be comfortable partnering cross-functionally with HRIS, Payroll, Benefits, Finance, and IT teams. This role requires someone who can troubleshoot issues independently, support payroll operations, maintain integrations, and proactively recommend improvements to increase efficiency and scalability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Workday PATT Administration & Configuration
  • Administer and maintain Workday configurations across:
    • Payroll
    • Absence
    • Time Tracking
    • Core HCM
    • Related downstream payroll systems and integrations
  • Configure and support:
    • Business Processes
    • Calculated Fields
    • Eligibility Rules
    • Condition Rules
    • Notifications
    • Security Roles
    • Custom Reports
  • Support tenant management activities including:
    • Testing
    • Migration validation
    • Release management
    • Production support
  • Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable Workday solutions.
  • Troubleshoot configuration issues and resolve tickets within established SLAs.
  • Support Workday optimization initiatives and recommend best practices.

  • Payroll & Downstream Support
  • Support payroll configuration activities including:
    • Earnings
    • Deductions
    • Tax setup
    • Pay Groups
    • Payroll calculations
    • Payroll validation
  • Analyze downstream payroll impacts related to configuration changes and enhancements.
  • Support payroll integrations with third-party vendors and internal systems.
  • Collaborate closely with Payroll teams during:
    • Payroll processing cycles
    • Parallel testing
    • Audits
    • Regression testing
    • Issue resolution
  • Assist with post-deployment validation and data integrity reviews.
  • Help maintain data accuracy across payroll and connected systems.

  • Technical & Integration Support
  • Support inbound and outbound Workday integrations including:
    • EIBs
    • Core Connectors
    • Studio
    • APIs/Web Services
  • Monitor and troubleshoot integration failures and data discrepancies.
  • Assist with security administration and role-based access reviews.
  • Develop and maintain Workday reports, dashboards, and analytics.
  • Participate in Workday releases, feature evaluations, and enhancement planning.

  • Project & Operational Support
  • Support Workday enhancement projects, optimization initiatives, and post-go-live activities.
  • Participate in acquisitions, organizational changes, and payroll-related initiatives.
  • Document configurations, testing scripts, support procedures, and technical specifications.
  • Provide end-user support and knowledge transfer where needed.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, Payroll, Benefits, Finance, IT, and external vendors.
  • Recommend process improvements, automation opportunities, and scalable solutions.

  • Help establish structure, standards, and best practices across the Workday environment.
  • Operate with a strong sense of ownership, accountability, and partnership with the business.

Requirements:

 
  • Workday PATT Analyst (3+years experience minimum)
  • Strong expertise within:
    • Workday Payroll
    • Time Tracking
    • Absence
  • Experience supporting downstream payroll configurations and payroll integrations.
  • Experience configuring Workday Business Processes and supporting security administration.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Experience supporting Workday testing cycles including:
    • UAT
    • Parallel Payroll Testing
    • Regression Testing
  • Experience supporting Workday in a post-go-live production support environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable:
  • Experience with Workday Payroll implementations or optimization projects.
  • Experience supporting Canadian Payroll or global payroll environments.
  • Exposure to Benefits, Recruiting, or Compensation modules.
  • Experience with Workday Studio or advanced integrations.
  • Workday certifications are a plus.
  • Consulting experience strongly preferred.
