Job Description
Job Title: Mechancial Engineer
Location: Baxley, GA 31513
Duration: 3 Years
Pay range : $ 48- $58/hr
Key Responsibilities
- Perform Owner Acceptance Reviews to ensure engineering deliverables meet project and regulatory requirements
- Serve as the Responsible Design Engineer (RDE) for mechanical scope on assigned projects
- Support plant modification and upgrade projects within a nuclear environment
- Review and approve engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications
- Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineering, operations, and project management
- Provide technical leadership and resolve engineering issues throughout the project lifecycle
Qualifications
- 5-10 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably within nuclear or power generation
- Experience supporting plant modification or capital projects
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and design principles
- Experience performing technical reviews and design approvals
- Ability to work effectively in a highly regulated environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience serving as a Responsible Design Engineer (RDE)
- Familiarity with nuclear industry codes and standards
- Experience supporting large-scale capital upgrade projects
