Location: Jacksonville, FL (Preferred) | Dothan, AL | Brewton, AL

Pay Range: $140,000 - $155,000+ annually (DOE)

Work Hours: Monday - Friday | 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (Flexible) | Occasional overtime as needed

Job Description

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Mechanical/Piping Engineer looking to take on a technical leadership role with a stable and growing engineering organization. The successful candidate will lead mechanical and piping design efforts for large-scale industrial projects while mentoring junior engineers and designers, managing project execution, and working directly with clients.

Projects support major industrial facilities across industries including pulp and paper, power generation, chemical processing, manufacturing, cement, and steel. You'll work with modern 3D design tools, oversee piping system design and stress analysis, and play a key role in delivering complex engineering projects from concept through construction.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME)
  • 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience supporting heavy industrial facilities
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred; strong candidates working toward licensure will be considered
  • Extensive experience with process piping design and mechanical system design
  • Strong piping stress analysis experience using Triflex, CAESAR II, Autodesk FEA, or similar software
  • Experience with AutoCAD Plant 3D or comparable 3D plant design platforms such as CADWorx, Smart 3D, PDS, or PDMS
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering and design teams
  • Ability to oversee project schedules, budgets, quality, and client communication
  • Knowledge of applicable engineering codes and industry standards
  • Experience supporting industrial projects in industries such as pulp and paper, power generation, manufacturing, chemical processing, cement, or steel
  • Ability to perform occasional field visits and limited overnight travel
  • Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills
