Compensation: $55,000 - $85,000
Location: Metro Detroit area (multiple office location options - Downtown Detroit, Birmingham, and Washington)
Schedule: Hybrid - 3 days in-office
Interview Process: 1 virtual + 1 onsite
Are you a Civil Engineer who enjoys design and wants to be part of a growing, high-performing team? This is a great opportunity to join a rapidly expanding engineering firm working on a diverse mix of municipal and private development projects.
What You'll Do- Perform engineering analysis, design, and calculations for site development projects
- Design grading, drainage, and utility systems (water main, sanitary, storm, and fire protection)
- Complete hydrology and hydraulic calculations for piping and conveyance systems
- Prepare drawings, specifications, and technical reports
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (planners, architects, clients, and stakeholders)
- Support proposal development and cost estimates for smaller projects
- Provide construction support, including RFIs, submittal reviews, and occasional site visits
- Assist with permitting, zoning reviews, and regulatory compliance
- Participate in client meetings and present technical information as needed
- Mentor junior staff as you grow in your role
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (ABET accredited or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of relevant civil/site design experience
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Strong interest in design and project ownership
- Civil 3D
- Water and sanitary system design
- Hydraulic modeling tools (WaterCAD/WaterGEMS or similar)
- Exposure to municipal or land development projects
