Principal NetSuite Consultant
Remote | Permanent / Direct Hire | $155K-$165K (DOE)
Are you a seasoned NetSuite consultant who can walk into a complex client environment, understand the business, and lead the functional solution from discovery through go-live?
Our client is a growing NetSuite implementation and consulting partner supporting Manufacturing and Distribution organizations. They are looking for a Principal NetSuite Consultant who brings the experience, business acumen, and leadership presence to take ownership of complex implementations while serving as a trusted advisor to clients and a mentor to fellow consultants
This is a highly visible, client-facing opportunity for someone who has successfully led multiple full-cycle NetSuite implementations and has developed deep expertise in a specific NetSuite module, business process, or industry discipline. The right consultant will have the confidence to lead conversations with executives and operational stakeholders, translate complex business requirements into practical solutions, and help elevate the overall consulting practice
Daily Responsibilities
- Leading complex NetSuite implementations from discovery and requirements gathering through configuration, testing, deployment, go-live, and post-implementation support
- Facilitating client discovery sessions, requirements workshops, solution design meetings, and executive-level discussions
- Building trusted relationships with client stakeholders and serving as a strategic advisor throughout the implementation lifecycle
- Translating business requirements into scalable, best-practice NetSuite solutions
- Designing functional solutions and recommending improvements to business processes, system configuration, and operational workflows
- Identifying project risks, dependencies, scope considerations, and opportunities for process improvement
- Partnering with project managers, technical consultants, developers, and client stakeholders to drive successful project delivery
- Owning functional deliverables and ensuring solutions align with agreed-upon requirements and business objectives
- Guiding clients through testing, User Acceptance Testing, training, cutover, and go-live
- Providing post-go-live guidance and helping clients maximize the value of their NetSuite investment
- Applying deep Manufacturing and Distribution knowledge across areas such as manufacturing and assembly, Bill of Materials, Work Orders, Routings, Manufacturing Planning, Demand Planning, Inventory Management, Advanced Inventory, WMS, Procurement, Order Management, Supply Chain, Item Costing, Multi-Location Inventory, Fulfillment, Returns, Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash, and reporting
- Applying specialized expertise as a recognized Subject Matter Expert and go-to resource within a specific NetSuite or business-process discipline
- Mentoring and coaching Junior and developing NetSuite Consultants
- Guiding consultants through requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, and client management
- Reviewing work products and providing constructive feedback to strengthen consulting and solution delivery skills
- Sharing NetSuite knowledge, implementation best practices, and industry expertise across the consulting organization
- Supporting consultants through complex functional questions and challenging client scenarios
- Improving implementation methodologies, templates, standards, and best practices
- Contributing to internal training and knowledge-sharing initiatives
- 7-10+ successful NetSuite implementations with experience serving as the primary or functional lead
- Significant hands-on experience with Oracle NetSuite implementation and functional consulting
- Demonstrated experience supporting Manufacturing and/or Distribution organizations
- Deep expertise in at least one NetSuite module, business process, or industry discipline
- Proven ability to independently lead discovery, requirements, solution design, configuration, testing, and deployment activities
- Strong understanding of end-to-end business processes and how they translate into ERP functionality
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with C-level executives, business leaders, process owners, and technical teams
- Strong client management and relationship-building skills
- Experience mentoring and developing Junior and mid-level NetSuite consultants
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, presentation, and communication skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining a high level of quality and client service
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Supply Chain, Accounting, Operations, or a related field preferred
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship
- NetSuite certifications such as ERP Consultant, SuiteFoundation, or relevant specialty certifications
- Deep expertise in NetSuite Manufacturing, Advanced Manufacturing, WMS, Advanced Inventory, Demand Planning, Supply Chain Management, Financials, Order Management, or Procurement
- Experience with complex multi-subsidiary, multi-location, or multi-entity NetSuite environments
- Experience working with NetSuite integrations and technical teams
- Familiarity with SuiteScript, SuiteFlow, SuiteAnalytics, saved searches, workflows, and reporting
- Experience leading large or complex business transformation initiatives
- Experience developing implementation methodologies, delivery standards, and consulting best practices
