We are seeking an experienced Contract Drafter to support Engineering and Operations by creating, updating, and maintaining accurate technical drawings for pipeline and facility assets.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of Oil & Gas drafting experience and the ability to work across multiple engineering disciplines, including mechanical, piping, electrical, and instrumentation. This role requires strong AutoCAD skills and the ability to interpret engineering documents, field information, redlines, and project inputs to produce accurate and compliant design documentation.

Experience with Enbridge drafting standards, systems, and pipeline/facility operations is preferred.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, update, and maintain engineering drawings for pipeline and facility projects.
  • Produce drawings across mechanical, piping, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines.
  • Convert engineering concepts, project deliverables, field redlines, and site information into accurate CAD drawings.
  • Review and incorporate field markups, photographs, and as-built information into final drawings.
  • Create and revise P&IDs, plot plans, facility layouts, equipment drawings, and related documentation.
  • Support Issued for Construction (IFC) and As-Built drawing packages.
  • Ensure drawings comply with applicable company drafting standards, engineering requirements, and industry practices.
  • Maintain drawing control, revision history, and project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, Operations, Maintenance, field personnel, and external service providers.
  • Review incomplete or changing project information, identify discrepancies, and use independent judgment to resolve issues.
  • Manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Support the accuracy and integrity of Process Safety Information (PSI) and engineering records.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of drafting experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Experience working across multiple engineering disciplines, including:
    • Mechanical
    • Piping
    • Electrical
    • Instrumentation
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD.
  • Experience developing and updating P&IDs, plot plans, facility layouts, and equipment drawings.
  • Ability to interpret field redlines, site photos, engineering documents, and project information.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to drawing accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a contract or distributed team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with Enbridge drawings, standards, and systems.
  • Familiarity with Enbridge Drafting Standards DS 001, DS 002, and DS 003.
  • Experience with LPDMS or similar drawing/document management systems.
  • Knowledge of pipeline and facility operations.
  • Understanding of instrumentation and control systems.
  • Familiarity with equipment and instrument tagging conventions.
  • Experience with Revit or other CAD/design applications.
