Job Title: Electronics Technician Maintenance I
Job Summary: EMCOR Government Services has an immediate need for an Electronics Technician Maintenance I at Eglin Air Force Base, FL. The Electronics Technician Maintenance is responsible for installing, operating, troubleshooting, repairing, calibrating, testing, and maintaining a variety of electronic systems and associated equipment supporting mission-critical government operations. This position ensures the reliability, performance, and operational readiness of communications, surveillance, security, control, and electronic equipment in accordance with applicable government regulations, technical manuals, and safety standards.
This position is covered by the Service Contract Act (SCA).
Work Schedule:
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electronic systems and equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair electronic, electrical, and electromechanical devices using technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools.
- Install, modify, upgrade, and test electronic systems and components.
- Conduct operational testing, calibration, alignment, and performance verification of equipment.
- Interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, specifications, and engineering documentation.
- Identify equipment failures and determine root causes to restore operational capability.
- Utilize test equipment including oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, multimeters, and network analyzers.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports, work orders, and documentation.
- Perform system inspections to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, standards, and contractual requirements.
- Support equipment modernization and technology refresh initiatives.
- Coordinate with engineers, system operators, military personnel, and contractors to resolve technical issues.
- Assist in developing maintenance procedures and technical documentation.
- Monitor equipment performance and recommend corrective actions to improve system reliability.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health, safety, and security requirements.
- Participate in emergency response and on-call maintenance activities as required.
- Support inventory management and accountability for tools, test equipment, repair parts, and government property.
Qualifications:
- Must have a minimum of 3 years' experience in healthcare facilities
- Qualified as defined by EM-385-1-1
- Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) trained and qualified on nurse call systems and BAS
- Associate degree in Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related technical field; or
- Equivalent combination of military training, vocational education, and relevant experience.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience maintaining electronic systems in a military, government, industrial, or technical environment.
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing complex electronic equipment.
- Experience reading and interpreting schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
