About the Opportunity

Our client, a leading healthcare performance-improvement company, is building out its enterprise AI and Intelligent Automation delivery function. We're looking for a hands-on delivery leader to run day-to-day engineering delivery for enterprise AI and Intelligent Automation initiatives -- managing one or more Delivery PODs and driving solutions through the full AI Delivery Lifecycle (AI-DLC), from planning and sprint execution through testing, deployment, and production readiness.

You'll partner closely with a Director of AI Intelligent Automation (portfolio/governance) and a Lead AI Automation Engineer (architecture/technical standards), while owning Agile delivery execution, Azure DevOps planning, sprint management, release readiness, and continuous improvement.

What You'll Do
  • Lead one or more AI Automation Delivery PODs, owning execution from planning through deployment to ensure predictable, high-quality delivery.

  • Facilitate all Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, standups, backlog refinement, reviews, retrospectives, release planning) and manage Azure DevOps work items and dashboards.

  • Coordinate cross-functional delivery across engineers, QA, business analysts, and contractors, monitoring capacity, dependencies, risks, and blockers.

  • Partner with the Director and Lead Engineer to align delivery with portfolio priorities and technical readiness.

  • Drive initiatives through testing, UAT, production readiness, deployment, hypercare, and operational transition, including release planning and rollback readiness.

  • Report weekly delivery status, sprint metrics, KPIs (velocity, predictability, cycle time, backlog health), risks, and mitigation plans to leadership.

  • Balance workloads across PODs, drive continuous improvement of Agile/Azure DevOps practices, and coach engineers on delivery discipline.

What You Bring (Required)
  • 7+ years in software engineering, enterprise technology delivery, automation, or engineering/project management; 3+ years leading Agile teams or delivery organizations.

  • Proven background as a Scrum Master, Delivery Manager, Engineering Manager, or Technical Project Manager, running the full Agile/SDLC ceremony cycle.

  • Hands-on Azure DevOps (or Jira/comparable) experience managing epics, features, stories, and delivery dashboards.

  • Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and managing capacity, schedules, dependencies, and risk across multiple concurrent initiatives.

  • Experience preparing executive-ready status reports, dashboards, and KPI/risk reporting.

  • Working knowledge of enterprise Intelligent Automation platforms (UiPath, Microsoft Power Platform, or comparable) and of SDLC/DevOps/CI/CD/release management practices.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and facilitation skills; self-driven and comfortable ramping up on new tools and domains independently.

Nice to Have
  • Experience leading Agile delivery squads or AI Automation Delivery PODs, and delivering Intelligent Automation solutions via UiPath or Power Platform.

  • Experience supporting an Automation Center of Excellence (CoE) or managing a blended workforce of employees, contractors, and vendors.

  • Track record implementing engineering KPIs/dashboards or driving Agile transformation and delivery maturity initiatives.

  • Experience in healthcare or another highly regulated industry.

  • Certifications: CSM, PSM, PMP, Azure DevOps, Azure Fundamentals, UiPath, or Microsoft Power Platform.

Compensation
  • Contract pay rate: Up to $70-$80/hr, W2

  • If converted to full-time: $145,000-$165,000 base + 15% annual bonus target

  • Conversion is possible after approximately 3 months but is not guaranteed at this time.
