Location: Dallas, TX (Hybrid, 3 days onsite/week, 2 days from home)
Type: Contract (Starting at 6-month with expected total duration at 1-2 years)
Pay Rate: $80-$90/hour via W2 or 1099. No C2C at this time
The Planet Group is seeking an experienced Senior Product Owner, Master Data Management (MDM) to lead the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of an enterprise MDM platform for our partner, Dallas-based client in Healthcare Services and SaaS.
In this role, you will partner with business leaders, data governance teams, architects, engineers, and analytics stakeholders to establish a trusted enterprise data foundation that supports critical business operations, reporting, AI initiatives, and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities- Own the product vision, roadmap, and backlog for the enterprise MDM platform.
- Collaborate with Data Governance, Data Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, and business teams to prioritize initiatives and platform enhancements.
- Translate business requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, and prioritized backlog items.
- Lead backlog refinement, sprint planning, and Agile delivery activities.
- Drive initiatives focused on data quality, governance, stewardship, entity matching, survivorship rules, and lifecycle management.
- Partner with engineering teams to deliver scalable and reliable enterprise data solutions.
- Support integrations across APIs, analytics platforms, operational systems, and data warehouses.
- Define and monitor KPIs related to data quality, platform adoption, and business value.
- Communicate product strategy, priorities, and roadmap updates to executive and cross-functional stakeholders.
- 10+ years of experience in Product Management, Business Analysis, Data Management, or related enterprise technology roles.
- 5+ years of Product Owner or Product Management experience supporting enterprise data platforms and Master Data Management initiatives.
- Hands-on experience with Informatica MDM (required).
- Strong knowledge of MDM concepts, including:
- Golden Records
- Match & Merge
- Entity Resolution
- Survivorship Rules
- Data Stewardship
- Data Quality
- Data Governance
- Experience managing Agile product backlogs and working closely with software engineering teams.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence both technical and business audiences.
- Experience making data-driven prioritization decisions in complex enterprise environments.
- Experience with Informatica Data Quality (IDQ), Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS), or related Informatica technologies.
- Experience supporting Customer, Vendor, Supplier, Product, Contract, or other master data domains.
- Familiarity with Azure, SQL, APIs, and enterprise data integration.
- Experience in healthcare, healthcare supply chain, or other regulated industries.
- Exposure to data governance, metadata management, data catalogs, or AI-driven data management initiatives.
- CSPO, PSPO, or similar Product Owner certification.
