Shift Schedule (Openings on all shifts)
Monday - Thursday

  • Day Shift: (7:00am - 5:30pm M-TH)
  • Night Shift: (7:30PM - 6:00AM M-TH)
Weekend Shift: 6a-6p (Paid for 40 hours)

The Production Supervisor provides direction and leadership to the assigned department to achieve cost, quality, safety, and delivery objectives. This role manages all available resources and leads the department to perform tasks in the most cost-effective and efficient manner while ensuring quality products are processed according to schedule. The Production Supervisor has full ownership and accountability of their area, ensuring strict compliance with approved manufacturing processes and safety standards. They drive a zero-defect culture with a focus on quality, first-pass yield, employee safety, and customer on-time delivery (OTD).

Additionally, the Production Supervisor is responsible for developing and supporting Area Leaders and implementing effective cross-training strategies to ensure coverage of critical roles and minimize gaps. This position proactively resolves issues cross-functionally, escalating only when appropriate, and is accountable for driving overall productivity through performance monitoring, employee development, and continuous improvement initiatives. The Production Supervisor ensures proper use of all personnel systems, adherence to all safety, regulatory, and company requirements, and supports the Company Operating Plan.

Primary Job Responsibilities
  • Communicate and lead by example, consistently supporting the Company Mission and Values.

  • Maintain fair and consistent application of all Company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure strict adherence to approved manufacturing processes, standard work instructions, and all safety requirements and guidelines.
  • Drive a zero-defect culture within the department, with emphasis on first-pass yield, product quality, and safe work practices.
  • Proactively identify, report, and correct unsafe conditions or behaviors; lead the department in following all OSHA regulations and company safety programs.
  • Maintain housekeeping and 5S standards at a world-class level every day to support a safe and organized workplace.
  • Lead the department to meet all established goals and objectives.
  • Drive customer on-time delivery (OTD) by owning every order in the department from start to finish, ensuring timely, quality, and safe completion.
  • Drive timely resolution of assigned RFAs (Requests for Action) with thorough root-cause analysis and closure of action items.
  • Plan and prioritize daily job assignments, coordinating with off-shift supervisors and managing scheduled overtime requirements.
  • Develop employees through the effective use of the Employee Management System, including safety training, reinforcement of safe practices, and skill building.
  • Ensure successful onboarding of new hires through onboarding and development planning
  • Design, implement, and monitor effective cross-training within the department to ensure proper coverage of critical roles and minimize skill gaps.
  • Take ownership of developing and mentoring Area Leaders, ensuring they are equipped with the skills, tools, and support needed to be successful.
  • Execute employee disciplinary actions in accordance with the HM Handbook and policies.
  • Lead the team in solving product, process, equipment, and safety issues, driving cross-functional solutions.
  • Proactively monitor, manage, and improve productivity, quality, safety, and customer delivery performance within the department.
  • Maintain department staffing levels, including participation in the hiring process and new associate orientation, with an emphasis on safety awareness and skills coverage.
  • Actively implement process improvements and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in regularly scheduled plant management team meetings, effectively reporting on key metrics including safety, scrap, production output, OTD, scheduling, and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure timely completion of all preventative maintenance activities within the department to maintain safe and reliable equipment.
  • Manage and achieve departmental budgets.
  • Open and close the building as required for plant production operations, ensuring safety procedures are followed during startup and shutdown.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to understand and follow English instructions
  • Previous experience in Manufacturing and/or Fabrication
  • Basic computer skills and Microsoft Office proficiency

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to bend, squat, stoop, twist and kneel
  • Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week
