Benefits Specialist
3-6 months, could extend
Hourly: $37-45
Hybrid, 2-3 days on site - Boston
Must-Haves:
- Benefits administration experience, including exposure to retirement plans
- Experience supporting an early retirement program and/or workforce reduction initiative
- Knowledge of both defined benefit and defined contribution plans
- Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills
Preferred:
- Workday experience
- Prior Open Enrollment support experience
- Higher education or nonprofit experience
Seeking an experienced Benefits Generalist to join its HR team on a temporary basis for approximately 3-6 months, with an anticipated start date of early to mid October. This individual will play a key role in supporting the administration of a significant early retirement initiative while also assisting with the organization's annual Open Enrollment process.
Working alongside a collaborative three-person Benefits Administration team, the Benefits Generalist will serve as a primary point of contact for employee benefit inquiries, providing excellent customer service and guidance throughout the retirement election and enrollment periods. This is a full-time, hybrid opportunity, requiring 2-3 days per week onsite and the remainder remote.
Responsibilities:
- Support the preparation and execution of an early retirement program
- Respond to a high volume of employee questions regarding benefits and retirement options
- Assist with Open Enrollment administration and employee communications
- Partner closely with the Benefits team to ensure a seamless employee experience
- Maintain accurate records and support benefits-related administration
Must-Haves:
