Onsite Requirements: REMOTE - with travel <25% - for major project milestones and sales support if needed.
Compensation Range: $155,000 - 175,000 - DOE

Introduction:
This role will lead the functional delivery of Workday Payroll and Absence solutions, partnering directly with clients to design scalable processes, guide implementations, and ensure successful deployment across complex payroll environments.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Solution Architecture & Configuration: Own functional design and tenant configuration for Workday Payroll and Absence, including pay groups, earnings, deductions, accruals, leave plans, eligibility rules, and related business processes.
- Client Consulting: Lead discovery meetings and design sessions with HR, payroll, and business leaders. Assess existing processes, translate requirements into Workday solutions, and provide recommendations for process improvements.
- Testing & Go-Live: Develop and oversee testing strategies, including parallel payroll, validation, and UAT. Manage defect resolution and provide hands-on support through deployment and stabilization.
- Integrated Solution Delivery: Collaborate with HCM, Benefits, Time Tracking, and Integration teams to ensure payroll solutions function effectively across the broader Workday ecosystem, including GL, tax, benefits, and third-party interfaces.
- Compliance & Controls: Incorporate payroll regulations, tax requirements, wage and hour considerations, FMLA, and state leave requirements into solution design while maintaining strong documentation and audit controls.
Must-have qualifications that candidates must meet to be considered.
- Workday Partner certifications in HCM Core, Payroll, and Absence Management; expired certifications may be considered if eligible for renewal.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
- At least 3 years of Workday consulting experience.
- Experience supporting 2+ large-scale Workday deployments.
- Strong functional knowledge of Workday Payroll, Absence, and related configuration.
- Excellent communication, consulting, and stakeholder management skills.
Nice-to-have skills that would make a candidate more competitive but are not required.
- Additional Workday certifications in Time Tracking, Benefits, Advanced Compensation, or Learning.
- Healthcare industry experience, particularly within acute care, long-term care, or sub-acute care environments.
- Consulting experience supporting complex payroll organizations.
- Background with healthcare technology consulting firms or Workday implementation partners.
