Pay 48-51.93 per hour DOE
We are seeking an experienced Drafter to support Engineering and Operations by developing, updating, and maintaining accurate technical drawings for pipeline and facility assets.
The ideal candidate will have strong Oil & Gas drafting experience, be comfortable working across multiple engineering disciplines, and have the ability to interpret engineering information, field redlines, site photos, and project documentation and translate them into accurate CAD drawings.
Experience with Enbridge drafting standards, systems, and pipeline/facility operations is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, update, and maintain engineering drawings supporting pipeline and facility projects.
- Create and revise drawings across mechanical, piping, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines.
- Translate engineering concepts, project requirements, and field information into accurate CAD drawings.
- Review and incorporate field redlines, site markups, photographs, and as-built information into final drawings.
- Develop and update P&IDs, plot plans, facility layouts, equipment drawings, and related engineering documentation.
- Support the preparation of Issued for Construction (IFC) and As-Built drawing packages.
- Ensure drawings meet applicable company drafting standards, engineering requirements, and industry practices.
- Maintain drawing revisions, document control, and accurate project records throughout the project lifecycle.
- Work closely with engineers, project managers, Operations, Maintenance, field personnel, and external service providers.
- Identify and resolve drawing discrepancies or incomplete information using sound judgment and available project/field data.
- Manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Support the accuracy and integrity of Process Safety Information (PSI) and engineering records.
- 5+ years of drafting experience within the Oil & Gas industry.
- Demonstrated experience supporting multiple engineering disciplines, including:
- Mechanical
- Piping
- Electrical
- Instrumentation
- Strong proficiency with AutoCAD.
- Experience creating and revising P&IDs, plot plans, facility layouts, and equipment drawings.
- Ability to interpret engineering documents, field redlines, site photographs, and as-built information.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to drawing accuracy.
- Ability to identify inconsistencies and resolve drawing discrepancies.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Ability to work independently in a contract, remote, or distributed team environment.
- Previous experience supporting Enbridge projects.
- Familiarity with Enbridge drafting standards DS 001, DS 002, and DS 003.
- Experience with LPDMS or similar engineering/drawing management systems.
- Knowledge of pipeline and facility operations.
- Experience with instrumentation and control systems.
- Familiarity with equipment and instrument tagging conventions.
- Experience with Revit or other CAD/design software.
