Job Description

Enterprise Integration Architect (Databricks & Informatica) - Must have Pharma/Life Science Experience
Duration - 12 months
Location - Remote - EST hours - some travel needed
Rate - 70-80/hour W2 OR 70-90/hour Corp

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Integration Architect to lead enterprise-wide data and application integration initiatives supporting a modern data ecosystem built on Databricks, Informatica, SAP, and Power BI. This individual will be responsible for designing scalable integration solutions, overseeing data readiness for reporting and analytics, establishing integration best practices, and driving successful delivery across multiple business domains including Commercial, R&D, and ERP.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Databricks Data Lake architecture, Informatica integration platforms, SAP integration technologies, and data governance, along with strong leadership skills and experience working within the pharmaceutical/life sciences industry.

Key Responsibilities Enterprise Integration Architecture
  • Design and govern enterprise data and application integration strategies across cloud and on-premise environments.
  • Architect scalable data pipelines and integration frameworks leveraging Informatica, Databricks, SAP, and third-party data providers.
  • Define enterprise integration standards, reusable patterns, development frameworks, and best practices.
  • Lead architecture reviews and ensure alignment with enterprise technology strategy.
Data Lake & Data Readiness
  • Oversee end-to-end data readiness processes supporting reporting and analytics initiatives.
  • Ensure data from multiple source systems is properly ingested, transformed, validated, and curated within the Databricks Data Lake.
  • Partner with business and analytics teams to ensure data quality, accuracy, and availability for Power BI reporting.
  • Support use cases involving external data providers 
Data Integration & Transformation
  • Design integrations moving data from source systems through Informatica into Databricks for downstream reporting and analytics.
  • Define transformation and enrichment strategies to prepare enterprise data for reporting and business consumption.
  • Implement monitoring, data validation, reconciliation, and exception management processes.
SAP Integration
  • Architect and support SAP integration solutions utilizing:
    • SAP PI/PO (Process Integration / Process Orchestration)
    • SAP CPI (Cloud Platform Integration)
  • Integrate ERP, finance, supply chain, commercial, and operational systems into the enterprise data ecosystem.
Leadership & Governance
  • Lead estimation, planning, architecture governance, and delivery oversight activities.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for integration and data quality issues.
  • Mentor technical teams and establish integration best practices and operational standards.
  • Collaborate with vendors, business stakeholders, developers, data engineers, and analytics teams.
Data Governance & Cataloging
  • Support enterprise metadata management and data governance initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development of enterprise data products and data marketplace capabilities.
  • Evaluate and implement enterprise catalog solutions including:
    • Informatica Data Catalog
    • Informatica Marketplace
    • Data lineage and metadata management solutions
Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise data and application integration.
  • 5+ years designing enterprise-scale data lake and cloud data architectures.
  • Extensive experience with:
    • Databricks
    • Informatica Platform
    • SQL
    • ETL/ELT Architecture
  • Strong experience with SAP integrations:
    • SAP PI/PO
    • SAP CPI
  • Experience designing enterprise integration frameworks and reusable integration patterns.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, metadata management, and master data management.
  • Experience performing effort estimation, solution reviews, root cause analysis, and architecture governance.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the Pharmaceutical or Life Sciences industry.
  • Experience integrating external healthcare datasets
  • Experience with:
    • Informatica IDMC
    • Informatica Data Catalog - nice to have
    • Informatica Marketplace - Nice to have
    • Enterprise Data Products
    • Data Mesh concepts
  • Familiarity with data marketplaces, data sharing frameworks, and metadata-driven architectures.
  • Exposure to Azure cloud technologies and modern analytics platforms.
