Location: Southern California or Greater Houston Area
Compensation: $125,000 - $170,000 + Annual Bonus
Are you a Civil or Structural Engineer who enjoys solving complex engineering challenges and seeing your designs come to life? We are partnering with a well-established engineering and manufacturing organization that designs and delivers critical infrastructure projects across the United States.
This is an opportunity to join a growing team where your expertise will directly contribute to large-scale industrial and municipal projects. You'll work alongside experienced engineers, drafters, project managers, and operations teams to deliver innovative, practical, and cost-effective structural solutions.
What You'll Do- Design steel structures, foundations, elevated platforms, stair systems, and related structural components.
- Perform structural analysis and engineering calculations in accordance with applicable codes and industry standards.
- Develop practical engineering solutions for industrial, municipal, commercial, and agricultural applications.
- Collaborate with drafting, project management, manufacturing, sales, and field teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review engineering drawings and technical documentation for quality, safety, and code compliance.
- Manage multiple projects while meeting schedules and design objectives.
- Provide technical support during fabrication, construction, and installation phases.
- Identify opportunities to improve engineering processes, designs, and overall project efficiency.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- 5+ years of experience designing steel structures and related systems.
- Strong understanding of structural steel and concrete design principles.
- Experience performing structural analysis and engineering calculations.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with industrial facilities, heavy structures, storage systems, tanks, silos, or similar infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with structural design software such as STAAD, InterCalc, or similar tools.
- Experience with finite element analysis (FEA).
- Background in manufacturing, design-build, or construction-related environments.
