Pay rate:
$30/hr - $34.48/hr (DOE)

Location: Onsite, York Avenue, New York

The Planet Group is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Workday Reporting Analyst to support the design, development, maintenance, and optimization of Workday reporting solutions. This role is responsible for building and maintaining reports, dashboards, calculated fields, and data models across multiple Workday HCM modules, while ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and security. The ideal candidate will partner with HR, Finance, IT, and business stakeholders to deliver meaningful insights and reporting solutions that support operational and strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities: 

  • Design, develop, and maintain Workday reports and dashboards ranging from simple to complex reporting solutions.
  • Build and support Advanced, Matrix, Composite, Metrics/KPI reports, Dashboards, Discovery Boards, Slides, Worksheets, and other Workday reporting tools.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance calculated fields and related business objects.
  • Maintain a catalog of standard and custom Workday reports.
  • Optimize and improve existing reports to enhance performance, usability, and user experience.
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all reporting solutions.
  • Gather and translate business requirements into effective Workday reporting solutions.
  • Partner with HR, Finance, IT, and business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and provide actionable insights.
  • Analyze HR data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
  • Support reporting across Core HCM, Recruiting, Benefits, Compensation, Payroll, Absence, and related Workday modules.
  • Collaborate with HRIS and IT teams to support reporting integrations and data management processes.
  • Maintain reporting-related security settings, access controls, and permissions within Workday.
  • Perform testing and validation of new and modified reports to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot reporting issues and resolve data discrepancies with stakeholders.
  • Create documentation, user guides, and reporting standards.
  • Provide training and ongoing support to HR and business users on Workday reporting capabilities.
  • Support audit, compliance, and regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Assist with the creation and maintenance of Workday Prism data pipelines and reporting solutions.

Required Skills:
  • Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience with Workday Reporting tools.
  • Experience working in HRIS, Human Resources, Payroll, Benefits, Compensation, Recruiting, or related data management functions.
  • Strong experience supporting Workday modules including:
    • Core HCM
    • Payroll
    • Benefits
    • Absence
    • Recruiting
    • Compensation
  • Proficiency with:
    • Workday Report Writer
    • Calculated Fields
    • Workday Dashboards
    • Discovery Boards
    • Worksheets
    • Workday Prism
  • Strong understanding of Workday data structures and reporting architecture.
  • Experience creating, maintaining, and supporting Workday Prism data pipelines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to independently troubleshoot technical and functional issues.
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and present complex data effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
