Pay Range: $95,000 - $140,000+ annually (flexible for highly qualified candidates) + Annual Performance Bonus + Profit Sharing

Our client is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join a collaborative and growing engineering team in Huntsville, Alabama. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects, including commercial, industrial, institutional, and site-development structures. As a key member of the engineering team, you will lead structural design efforts from concept through construction, partnering with architects, engineers, and project managers to deliver high-quality, code-compliant solutions. You'll have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers while helping shape innovative and practical designs for both new construction and renovation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and analyze structural systems for buildings and related site structures.
• Prepare structural calculations, specifications, and construction documents.
• Develop safe, efficient, and cost-effective engineering solutions while ensuring compliance with applicable building codes and standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams throughout planning, design, and construction phases.
• Conduct structural assessments and evaluations for existing facilities, renovations, and repair projects.
• Support construction activities through submittal reviews, field observations, technical guidance, and responses to contractor inquiries.
• Prepare engineering reports, technical memoranda, and structural assessment documentation.
• Provide mentorship and technical leadership to junior engineering staff.

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Alabama.
• 10+ years of structural engineering design experience.
• Experience designing buildings, foundations, retaining walls, and other structural systems.
• Proficiency with structural analysis and design software.
• Strong understanding of structural materials, building codes, and engineering standards.
• Experience producing structural calculations, specifications, and construction documents.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with architects, project managers, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to support projects through both design and construction phases.
