Location: Charlotte, NC
Pay: $28-$30/hour
Schedule: 1st Shift, Monday-Friday (occasional evenings and weekends as needed)

We're looking for a skilled Commercial Maintenance Technician to join a growing facilities services team supporting a portfolio of commercial properties throughout the Charlotte area. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who enjoys variety in their workday, takes pride in quality craftsmanship, and can work independently while delivering excellent customer service.
A company vehicle, tools, and mobile technology are provided. You'll travel locally to customer locations performing preventative maintenance, repairs, inspections, and facility improvement projects.
What You'll Do General Building Maintenance- Perform preventative maintenance and repair work on commercial buildings and facility systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair basic plumbing issues, including toilets, urinals, faucets, valves, and related fixtures.
- Complete minor electrical repairs, including lighting components, outlets, switches, and fixtures in accordance with applicable regulations.
- Repair drywall, perform touch-up painting, and complete general carpentry projects.
- Maintain walls, floors, doors, and other building components to ensure facilities remain safe, functional, and visually appealing.
- Assist with routine maintenance and troubleshooting of HVAC and mechanical systems.
- Complete work orders accurately and efficiently.
- Conduct facility inspections, equipment assessments, and preventative maintenance checks.
- Use mobile devices and digital platforms to document completed work, upload photos, and submit service reports.
- Track labor, materials, and expenses through company systems.
- Coordinate and obtain materials needed to complete assigned tasks.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers at supported sites.
- Communicate maintenance findings, repair recommendations, and project updates clearly and professionally.
- Assist with identifying larger repair opportunities and facility improvement needs.
- Follow all workplace safety practices, regulations, and company procedures.
- Participate in ongoing safety and compliance training.
- Maintain a professional, safe work environment while performing all job duties.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2-5 years of experience in commercial, industrial, or general facilities maintenance.
- Experience performing repairs involving plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, or other building trades.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage a daily service schedule.
- Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, and digital work order systems.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Experience working within commercial facilities, retail, office, or multi-site environments.
- Trade school training, certifications, or technical education related to maintenance, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, or similar fields.
- Familiarity with building mechanical systems, HVAC equipment, and preventative maintenance programs.
- Working knowledge of OSHA safety standards and best practices.
