Compensation Range: $95-100/hour
Introduction
We are seeking an experienced SAP BTP & Joule Solution Architect to lead the design, development, and implementation of modern SAP cloud solutions using SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), Joule, SAP Build Code, and SAP integration technologies. This role will be responsible for defining solution architecture, developing custom applications and extensions, designing integration patterns, and leveraging AI-powered capabilities through Joule to accelerate business innovation. The ideal candidate combines strong architecture skills with hands-on development experience and a deep understanding of SAP's clean-core strategy.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Solution Architecture
* Design scalable, secure, and maintainable cloud-native solutions aligned with SAP Clean Core principles.
* Provide technical leadership across SAP Build Code, SAP Integration Suite, SAP AI services, and Joule-enabled solutions.
* Establish architecture standards, development patterns, and governance for custom applications and integrations.
SAP Build Code Development
* Lead development of custom applications using SAP Build Code.
* Design and develop SAP Fiori applications, business extensions, custom services and APIs, and BTP-based enterprise applications.
* Guide developers in application lifecycle management, DevOps, CI/CD, and transport management.
* Utilize Joule Copilot capabilities to accelerate development and improve productivity.
Joule & AI Solutions
* Design and implement Joule-enabled business solutions.
* Develop custom Joule skills and business-specific AI interactions.
* Architect AI-powered workflows and automation scenarios.
* Integrate Joule with SAP applications, enterprise data, and external systems.
* Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify use cases for AI-driven productivity and automation.
Integration Architecture
* Design and implement enterprise integrations using SAP BTP Integration Suite.
* Build API-led integration architectures connecting SAP S/4HANA with other applications.
* Define event-driven and service-oriented integration patterns.
* Establish API governance, monitoring, and security standards.
Technical Leadership
* Lead architecture reviews and design workshops.
* Mentor developers and integration engineers.
* Define development standards and coding best practices.
* Support estimation, solution planning, and technical roadmaps.
* Drive adoption of SAP Business AI and SAP BTP innovation capabilities.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Must-have qualifications that candidates must meet.
* 8+ years of SAP solution design and development experience.
* 5+ years working with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) services.
* Proven experience designing enterprise integration architecture.
* Hands-on experience developing custom applications on SAP BTP.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
Nice-to-have skills that would make a candidate more competitive but are not required.
* Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
* Hands-on experience with SAP Build Code and SAP Fiori application development.
* Experience designing and implementing Joule-enabled solutions and custom Joule skills.
* Experience with SAP Integration Suite, API-led integration, and event-driven architectures.
* Experience with SAP AI services and business-specific AI automation use cases.
* Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, application lifecycle management, and SAP transport management.
* Strong understanding of SAP Clean Core strategy and extensibility principles.
