Electrical Engineer - Liquids Pump Station Facilities

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to oversee the electrical design of Liquids Pump Station facilities supporting expansion and maintenance capital projects. This role will manage design activities performed by third-party engineering firms, ensuring deliverables comply with company standards, specifications, applicable regulations, and industry codes while meeting project budget and schedule requirements.

The Electrical Engineer will serve as a key liaison between third-party engineering consultants and internal teams across Project Execution, Operations, and Shared Services to ensure project requirements are effectively incorporated into design deliverables and successfully carried through execution.

• Manage third-party engineering consultants to ensure electrical design deliverables meet quality, budget, and schedule requirements.
• Ensure pump station facilities are designed in accordance with applicable regulations, industry codes, company standards, and project specifications.
• Design and review electrical components, systems, and interconnections associated with pump station facilities.
• Review and approve engineering deliverables, including drawings, technical reports, equipment specifications, and material listing sheets.
• Participate in design review meetings with engineering firms, Project Managers, Operations, and Construction teams.
• Evaluate project scope, design requirements, expected equipment performance, and constructability issues.
• Review vendor quotations and prepare technical evaluations and recommendations based on technical merit, cost, and delivery requirements.
• Evaluate equipment and materials such as pumps, motors, vessels, buildings, generators, piping, valves, and fittings.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure project and operational requirements are incorporated into engineering designs.
• Identify, document, and communicate lessons learned and quality incidents associated with assigned projects.
• Support procurement, construction, commissioning, and field activities as required.
• Contribute to department initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
• Manage multiple projects and prioritize competing deadlines in a time-sensitive environment.

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant industry experience.
• Experience with electrical engineering design, review, or project execution.
• Working knowledge of applicable electrical codes, industry standards, and engineering practices.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

• Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects and competing priorities.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to apply engineering standards, modify standards when appropriate, and leverage previous experience to resolve technical issues.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to clearly communicate technical issues, recommendations, and project impacts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience working with third-party engineering consultants, contractors, vendors, and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Experience supporting procurement, construction, commissioning, or field engineering activities.

• Approximately 80% office-based, working with multiple project teams and engineering stakeholders.
• Approximately 20% field-based, including project scoping and support for procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.
• Ability to manage time-sensitive engineering deliverables and project deadlines.
• Occasional field travel and site visits may be required.
• Work requires strong computer proficiency and the ability to work effectively across multiple project systems and teams.
