Job Title: Workday Time Tracking, Absence & Scheduling Consultant

Location: Remote - United States

Onsite Requirements: Remote; candidates in the Atlanta metro area are preferred for occasional in-person team meetings

Compensation: $100 - 110 per hour C2C

Employment Type: Contract

Contract Duration: Approximately 13 months

Anticipated Start: September-October 2026

Hours: Approximately 30-40 hours per week

Introduction

We are seeking an experienced Workday Time Tracking, Absence & Scheduling Consultant to support a long-term implementation across multiple affiliated entities.

This consultant will work closely with internal workstream leads and cross-functional stakeholders throughout the implementation lifecycle. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on configuration expertise, full-lifecycle implementation experience, and an understanding of the operational challenges involved in introducing new timekeeping processes to hourly and frontline employees.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on functional and configuration leadership across Workday Time Tracking, Absence, and Scheduling, including review of business processes, solution design, risks, and downstream impacts.

  • Partner with Payroll, HR, IT, Operations, Change Management, and external vendors to support integrations, physical time-clock deployment, and broader implementation readiness.

  • Lead and support testing activities, including test design, defect analysis, troubleshooting, regression testing, and user acceptance testing.

  • Support training, cutover, go-live, stabilization, and knowledge transfer while advising project leadership on milestones, dependencies, and implementation risks.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience supporting full-lifecycle Workday implementations with strong configuration expertise in Time Tracking, Absence, and Scheduling.

  • Experience supporting complex hourly or frontline workforces and implementing physical time clocks or related time-entry processes.

  • Strong understanding of the relationship between timekeeping, scheduling, absence, integrations, and downstream payroll processing.

  • Proven experience with testing, troubleshooting, training, deployment readiness, and post-production stabilization.

  • Strong client-facing and stakeholder-management skills with the ability to operate as both a hands-on consultant and trusted advisor.

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • Workday certification in Time Tracking, Absence, Scheduling, Payroll, or a related functional area.

  • Experience supporting multiple entities, geographically dispersed workforces, or complex scheduling, shift, overtime, meal/rest-period, and holiday requirements.

  • Experience within hospitality, retail, manufacturing, distribution, food production, supply chain, or another operationally intensive environment.

Additional Details

  • Long-term contract expected to run through approximately September 2027.

  • Remote engagement with a preference for Atlanta-area consultants who can attend occasional in-person meetings.

  • Candidates should be available for approximately 30-40 hours per week.
