Maintenance Supervisor (Renewable Energy / Gas Processing Operations)

Location: Indianapolis, IN Area
Compensation: $93,000 - $113,000 + Relocation Assistance Available

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance operations at an industrial gas processing facility in the renewable energy sector. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for coordinating maintenance activities, managing contractors, planning outages, maintaining inventory, and driving equipment reliability to support safe and efficient plant operations.

This position is ideal for a maintenance professional who enjoys balancing technical problem-solving, team leadership, and operational excellence in a fast-paced manufacturing or process environment.

Key Responsibilities Maintenance & Reliability Leadership
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate maintenance activities for plant equipment and systems.
  • Lead both internal personnel and external contractors to ensure maintenance work is completed safely and efficiently.
  • Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and uptime.
  • Coordinate planned shutdowns, outages, and major maintenance projects.
  • Support plant operations by troubleshooting mechanical and electrical equipment issues and identifying long-term solutions.
  • Monitor maintenance performance metrics and recommend improvements to increase productivity and efficiency.
Operations Support
  • Work closely with operations personnel to ensure maintenance activities align with production goals.
  • Manage inventory levels for critical spare parts, tools, and maintenance materials.
  • Coordinate procurement of equipment, parts, and services as needed.
  • Provide technical guidance and operational support to plant personnel.
  • Serve as the primary maintenance leader for site reliability and equipment performance.
Safety & Compliance
  • Promote and maintain a strong safety culture.
  • Ensure maintenance activities comply with applicable environmental, health, and safety requirements.
  • Oversee contractor safety and performance while on site.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, documentation, and reporting.
Qualifications Required Experience
  • 5+ years of maintenance leadership, supervisory, or management experience in a manufacturing, industrial, energy, or process environment.
  • Experience planning and scheduling maintenance activities and coordinating resources.
  • Background supporting mechanical, electrical, rotating, or process equipment.
  • Experience leading maintenance outages, shutdowns, or major repair projects.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and work independently.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience within renewable energy, gas processing, industrial gases, power generation, chemical processing, oil & gas, or similar process industries.
  • Experience with maintenance planning systems, reliability programs, and inventory management.
  • Budget management experience.
  • Previous responsibility for facility maintenance schedules and contractor coordination.
