Location: DALLAS TEXAS
Job Type: Full-Time / Contract
Rate: $73.00 to $75.00 hr
About the RoleWe are seeking a Senior Software Engineer / Technical Consultant to design, build, and scale our enterprise search, data integration, and intelligent matching platform. In this role, you will develop high-performance REST APIs, low-latency search capabilities, and event-driven data pipelines supporting millions of daily transactions.
You will work with a modern cloud-native stack--including Python, Elasticsearch, Kafka, Informatica IDMC, Databricks, and Azure--to solve complex distributed systems challenges, optimize enterprise data integration pipelines, and engineer resilient cloud platforms.
Key Responsibilities-
Backend Development: Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud-native backend services and high-performance REST APIs using Python and modern frameworks (e.g., FastAPI, asynchronous Python).

Enterprise Data Integration & IDMC: Design, develop, and manage enterprise-grade data integration pipelines, data quality rules, and API services using Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC).

Enterprise Search & Matching: Architect and optimize Elasticsearch indexes, mapping designs, Query DSL, aggregations, and relevance tuning to power intelligent search and matching capabilities over massive datasets.

Event-Driven Architectures: Build and maintain scalable, high-throughput streaming and data ingestion pipelines using Apache Kafka and Azure Event Hub.

Data & Platform Integration: Integrate applications with enterprise data platforms like Databricks, IDMC cloud data integration (CDI/CAI), and relational databases.

Cloud Infrastructure & Security: Deploy, manage, and secure scalable microservices on Microsoft Azure using App Services, Managed Identity, Key Vault, and Azure Linux VMs.

DevOps & Observability: Implement CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Docker, Git), set up monitoring/logging frameworks, and optimize system resource utilization, data processing efficiency, and API response times.

Technical Leadership & Collaboration: Participate in system design reviews, code reviews, and production support while collaborating closely with architects, data engineers, and product teams.

7+ years of professional software engineering experience with strong backend development skills in Python.

Hands-on experience with Informatica IDMC (Intelligent Data Management Cloud), including Cloud Data Integration (CDI), Cloud Application Integration (CAI), data profiling, and pipeline automation.

Demonstrated experience building, securing, and operating production REST APIs (asynchronous Python, FastAPI).

Strong hands-on production experience with Elasticsearch, including index lifecycle management, query optimization, bulk indexing, and search relevance tuning.

Proven experience deploying applications on Microsoft Azure (App Services, Storage, Event Hub, Monitor, Key Vault).

Solid foundation with CI/CD deployment automation using Docker, Git, and Azure Pipelines.

Proficiency with relational databases (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or Oracle) and complex SQL query optimization.

Deep knowledge of distributed systems, microservices architectures, and production troubleshooting/monitoring.

Experience with enterprise data processing frameworks like Databricks / Apache Spark.

Certification in Informatica IDMC or Azure Data Engineer.

Background in AI/ML integration, OCR, or advanced document processing pipelines.

Prior experience as a technical consultant or client-facing technical lead.
