Job Title: Associate Technician, Technical Services
Location: Moreno Valley, CA
Contract length: 6 months
Schedule: Onsite M-F from 6:30a to 3:00p
Pay: $17/hr to $22/hr, DOE
Position Summary:
The Associate Technician - Technical Services plays a key role in the Technical Services team by performing service and repairs on returned devices, documenting findings, and supporting internal and external stakeholders. This role requires strong technical troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
Job Responsibilities:
- Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety protocols, and company policies
- Perform hardware and software troubleshooting, testing, and repairs on products in accordance with approved service manuals and company specifications
- Diagnose device failures (CPAP and APAP) to the sub-assembly level using service manuals, service software, and diagnostic tools such as flow meters, manometers, digital voltage meters, etc.
- Document technical findings and customer-reported issues in the complaint tracking system, including recommended resolutions and steps taken
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to complaint handling, service entitlement verification, and issue escalation
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of technical specifications, product updates, and trends across the product portfolio
- Provide technical and engineering support to internal and external teams
- Support post-design activities including system upgrades, product maintenance, and testing
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation in accordance with 5S standards
- Routinely meet individual productivity and efficiency targets
- Collaborate with team to meet service turnaround time goals and customer SLAs
- Identify and escalate returned devices requiring further investigation to team leads
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and peers to ensure alignment and continuous improvement
Required Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of technical education, certification, or equivalent hands-on experience in a professional technical environment
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance manuals, and procedural instructions
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in software and hardware troubleshooting
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of related experience in a technical support or service role
- Familiarity with ISO and FDA standards and practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and internet-based tools
- Knowledge of Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) safety practices
- Experience using diagnostic tools such as flow meters, manometers, digital voltage meters, and oscilloscopes
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively under pressure and in team environments
- Demonstrated ability to gather information and resolve customer issues efficiently
