Infor HCM Benefits Configuration Consultant (SME)
Remote | Contract Opportunity | Healthcare Industry
We're seeking an experienced Infor HCM Benefits Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support a large-scale healthcare organization on a long-term HCM initiative. This is an outstanding opportunity for a functional consultant with deep expertise in Infor Benefits configuration who enjoys partnering with HR and IT teams to deliver scalable, business-focused solutions.
In this role, you'll serve as the go-to expert for the Infor HCM Benefits module, helping optimize benefits administration, configure system functionality, support critical business processes, and guide stakeholders through ongoing enhancements.
What You'll Be Doing
- Serve as the functional Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Infor HCM Benefits module
- Configure and optimize the Benefits module to support evolving business and compliance requirements
- Translate HR business needs into scalable Infor HCM solutions
- Partner with HR, Benefits, and IT stakeholders to improve business processes and system functionality
- Gather, analyze, and document functional business requirements
- Create and maintain functional specifications, process documentation, and user documentation
- Support annual and year-end benefits processing activities
- Provide project coordination and functional guidance throughout benefits-related initiatives
- Assist technical teams in understanding business requirements and validating configured solutions
- Participate in system testing, issue resolution, and ongoing optimization efforts
- Promote best practices for Benefits configuration, administration, and process efficiency
What We're Looking For Required Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with the Infor HCM Benefits module
- Proven experience configuring and supporting Infor Benefits functionality
- Deep understanding of employee benefits administration and related HR business processes
- Experience gathering, documenting, and translating business requirements into functional system solutions
- Ability to serve as the liaison between HR business users and technical teams
- Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a consulting environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with any of the following is a plus:
- Healthcare or hospital industry experience
- Full lifecycle Infor HCM implementation or optimization projects
- Project coordination or project management experience
- Supporting distributed or offshore development teams
- Year-end benefits processing and open enrollment activities
- Continuous improvement and system optimization initiatives
