Job Details/ Project Details: 
You will be responsible for collaborating with HR, Compensation, and business stakeholders to develop and implement requirements for projects designed to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of Workday Compensation processes. This role leverages deep knowledge of the talent technology ecosystem and Workday HCM to research, develop, configure, and recommend solutions that enable the organization to achieve its strategic goals. The Talent Technology Experienced Professional partners with the Talent Technology team to support the administration, governance, testing, and optimization of Workday Compensation solutions. In addition, this role trains and supports team members on new and established processes.

A major focus of this position will be supporting and helping lead complex global year-end compensation processes, including merit, bonus, eligibility, compensation review, testing, deployment, and production support.



The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on Advanced Compensation expertise and understands the complexities associated with global compensation structures, multiple employee populations, varying eligibility requirements, currencies, and country-specific programs. This person must be comfortable independently configuring Workday, troubleshooting complex issues, testing solutions, and owning enhancements from requirements through production deployment.


This is also a highly visible and forward-facing position. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are essential, as this individual will work directly with Compensation leaders and other senior stakeholders and must be able to translate complex Workday functionality into clear, business-friendly recommendations.



Responsibilities
  • Serve as a senior functional and hands-on SME for Workday Advanced Compensation, supporting configuration, optimization, troubleshooting, and production support.
  • Support and help lead complex global year-end compensation cycles, including planning, merit and bonus processes, eligibility, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-cycle support.
  • Configure and optimize Advanced Compensation functionality, including compensation plans, eligibility rules, merit and bonus programs, compensation reviews, business processes, and security.
  • Support complex global compensation structures across multiple countries, currencies, employee populations, and compensation programs.
  • Partner directly with Compensation leadership, HR COEs, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into scalable Workday solutions.
  • Lead discovery sessions, analyze existing configuration, and recommend enhancements that improve compensation processes and the overall employee and manager experience.
  • Troubleshoot complex production issues, perform root cause analysis, and evaluate upstream and downstream impacts across HCM, Payroll, Performance, Reporting, Security, and Integrations.
  • Develop and execute testing for compensation enhancements, annual cycles, production changes, and Workday releases.
  • Evaluate new Workday functionality and recommend opportunities for continuous improvement and feature adoption.
  • Develop documentation, provide knowledge transfer, and communicate complex Workday concepts and recommendations clearly to both technical teams and senior business leaders.

TECHNICAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: 
  • Sr. Workday Analyst- Advanced Compensation
  • 4+ years of hands-on Workday experience supporting Workday Advanced Compensation
  • Extensive experience configuring and supporting Advanced Compensation, including compensation plans, eligibility, merit, bonus, compensation reviews, and related business processes.
  • Proven experience supporting and/or leading complex year-end compensation cycles from configuration and testing through deployment and production support.
  • Experience supporting complex global compensation programs across multiple countries, currencies, employee populations, and compensation structures.
  • Strong hands-on Workday configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and production support experience.
  • Ability to gather complex business requirements and translate them into scalable Workday solutions while identifying upstream and downstream impacts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience performing root cause analysis and independently resolving complex issues.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work directly with Compensation leadership and clearly explain Workday capabilities and recommendations. Exceptional executive-level communication and presentation skills, with demonstrated experience working directly with senior HR, Compensation, and business leaders.
  • Ability to translate complex Workday functionality into clear, business-friendly language and confidently provide recommendations to leadership.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to facilitate difficult conversations, build consensus, and influence decision-making across technical and functional teams.
