Job Description

Our client is seeking a Project Engineer for our South Haven, Michigan Site. The role reports to the site's Senior Technical Engineering Manager. The South Haven site produces a portfolio of products for the specialty pharmaceutical industries, specifically Active Pharmaceutical Intermediates. Consisting of a cGMP kilo lab, pilot plant, and custom manufacturing at commercial volumes, the site is fully equipped to develop and manufacture custom drug intermediates and APIs. South Haven is nestled on the coast of Lake Michigan with beautiful beaches and fun year-round.
The Project Engineer is responsible for capital project implementation and support through all stages from ideation to execution. You will work with management, process engineering, maintenance, and operations to bring maximum value to the business through effective leadership of cost and capital project planning and implementation processes under the client Project Management (GPM) system.

Responsibilities
 

  • Specify and procure necessary equipment, instruments, materials and parts for capital project implementation
  • Direct the work of engineers, contractors, and maintenance personnel to ensure the proper and safe installation of capital project assets
  • Ensure Standard Operating Procedures creation, Management of Change requirements, preventative maintenance method creation, qualification protocols, and any necessary training are completed for assigned projects
  • Utilize stage gate management system to develop budgetary cost estimates, project implementation schedules and maintain project forecasts.
  • Serve as a key site resource for corporate-led capital projects, ensuring necessary design and quality standards unique to South Haven are incorporated throughout design and implementation
