Title: Project/Marketing Coordinator
Pay: $20-$22/hr depending on experience
Location: Fully remote (though candidates should be located in Chicago)
Duration: Through the end of 2026 (assignments may conclude prior to year-end if business needs change)
The Planet Group is seeking a remote Project/Marketing Coordinator to support our client, a leading provider of direct marketing and customer data solutions.
Project/Marketing Coordinator role supports the execution of direct marketing campaigns by coordinating project intake, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring timely communication across cross-functional teams. This entry-level role requires strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Success in this role is driven by accuracy in campaign setup, responsiveness to sales teams, and adherence to established processes and quality standards.
Project/Marketing Coordinator Responsibilities:
- Capture and validate all required campaign details from enrollment and intake forms, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for Sales teams to support campaign setup and execution.
- Enter and maintain campaign data in internal systems (e.g., Salesforce) in a timely and accurate manner.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Creative, Data, Production) to support campaign development and execution.
- Monitor campaign timelines and ensure deliverables are completed on time and meet quality standards.
- Ensure all client requests and internal inquiries are handled in a timely and professional manner.
- Support accurate, efficient, and timely execution of all assigned campaigns.
- Quality & Process Adherence
- Follow established quality control procedures to ensure campaign accuracy and consistency.
- Ensure all required information and documentation is properly captured and maintained.
- Maintain organized, accessible project files across multiple systems.
- Identify discrepancies or missing information and escalate as needed.
- Support ongoing process improvements by identifying inefficiencies and opportunities for standardization.
- Ensure all processes are documented and followed.
- Administrative & Operational Support
- Maintain accurate, accessible work files and documentation across multiple systems.
- Demonstrate flexibility by supporting projects and tasks outside of routine responsibilities as business needs require.
- Maintain a professional, collaborative demeanor with management, peers, and cross-functional partners.
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Basic understanding of project coordination and fundamental project management principles (organization, timelines, documentation).
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies and errors.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and multi-tasking skills.
- Ability to prioritize work and shift focus to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
- High level of professionalism, reliability, and sense of ownership.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.

- Education & Experience (Required)
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 0-2 years of related experience in marketing, project coordination, operations, or customer service.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM systems.
- Exposure to direct marketing, campaign execution, or customer support processes.
