Location: Hybrid - Portland, OR
Onsite Requirements: One week per month onsite in Portland, with the remaining three weeks worked remotely
Compensation Range: $100-$120 per hour
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Dates: August 3, 2026-October 2, 2026
Hours: Approximately 20 hours per week
Introduction
We are seeking a senior Workday Position Management Lead to serve as a strategic advisor to HR and business leadership. This individual will help define the workforce operating model, organizational structures, and foundation data governance needed to support scalable HR processes across recruiting, compensation, talent, payroll, and workforce planning.
The ideal candidate can lead executive-level discussions, challenge existing operating models, and guide stakeholders toward practical workforce structure and data governance decisions.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Lead strategic design discussions across Workday Position Management, Supervisory Organizations, organizational design, and workforce operating models.
- Assess and improve foundation data structures, governance standards, ownership models, and downstream Workday dependencies.
- Facilitate executive workshops and develop future-state recommendations, data architecture, and operating procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 10+ years of Workday HCM, HR transformation, or related consulting experience, including enterprise-scale transformation work.
- Deep expertise in Workday Position Management, Supervisory Organizations, foundation data models, workforce governance, and business process design.
- Strong executive-facing consulting skills with the ability to translate complex workforce requirements into scalable solutions.
- Active Workday certification in HCM or a related Workday module.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience advising clients on workforce operating models and foundation data governance.
- Knowledge of downstream dependencies across Recruiting, Compensation, Talent, Payroll, and Workforce Planning.
Additional Details
- Approximately 20 hours per week through October 2, 2026.
- One week per month of travel to Portland, Oregon is required.
- Candidates must be available for the full contract period.
