Job Title: Chief Information Officer (CIO)
Location: Springfield, MO

Compensation Range: $275,000-$325,000 base salary + target bonus

Our client, a growing and well-established manufacturing organization, is seeking an accomplished Chief Information Officer (CIO) to join its executive leadership team. Reporting directly to the CEO, this newly created position will be responsible for developing and executing the company's enterprise technology strategy while driving digital transformation, operational excellence, and long-term business growth.
This executive will oversee all aspects of information technology, including ERP strategy, cybersecurity, infrastructure, enterprise applications, cloud technologies, business intelligence, manufacturing systems, and IT operations. The ideal candidate is a proven technology executive with deep manufacturing experience and a track record of aligning technology initiatives with business objectives.
- Develop and execute the organization's enterprise technology strategy in partnership with executive leadership.
- Lead ERP strategy, optimization, governance, integrations, and modernization initiatives across the enterprise.
- Oversee cybersecurity, cloud and on-premise infrastructure, networking, business continuity, and enterprise applications.
- Drive digital transformation, manufacturing technology initiatives, data analytics, automation, and business intelligence capabilities.
- Partner with Operations, Manufacturing, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, Sales, HR, and other business leaders to improve operational performance through technology.
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing IT organization while managing technology budgets, vendor relationships, and strategic investments.
- Establish enterprise data governance, reporting, and KPI frameworks that support executive decision-making.
- Ensure technology solutions remain secure, scalable, and aligned with the company's long-term growth strategy.
Must-have qualifications that candidates must meet to be considered.
- 10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, including at least 5 years in a CIO or equivalent senior technology executive role.
- Proven experience leading enterprise technology organizations within a manufacturing environment.
- Extensive experience with enterprise ERP platforms, including implementation, optimization, governance, and strategic planning.
- Demonstrated success leading digital transformation, cybersecurity, infrastructure modernization, and enterprise technology initiatives.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to influence cross-functional leadership and align technology strategy with business objectives.
- Experience managing large technology budgets, strategic vendor partnerships, and enterprise IT organizations.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Nice-to-have skills that would make a candidate more competitive but are not required.
- Experience with Epicor ERP in a manufacturing environment.
- Background supporting industrial automation, manufacturing systems, or smart factory initiatives.
- Experience with cloud migrations, business intelligence platforms, enterprise analytics, and data governance.
- MBA or advanced technical degree.
- Experience leading technology organizations through periods of rapid growth and organizational transformation.
