Cost Manager - Data Center Construction

Location: Remote (U.S.) - Dallas Ft. Worth area preferred 
Compensation: $50-$55/hour + paid overtime, holidays, and competitive benefits
Job Type: Long-term contract with strong potential for permanent hire

Join a Growing Mission Critical Construction Team

We are partnering with a leading construction and project controls organization supporting large-scale, mission-critical infrastructure projects across North America. Due to significant growth in the data center sector, they are expanding their team and seeking a Junior Cost Manager to support high-profile data center construction programs.

This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career cost professional or quantity surveyor looking to step into a client-facing role while working on some of the most complex and fast-paced construction projects in the market.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and manage project and campus-level budgets throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support the GMP budgeting phase and subcontractor procurement process.
  • Review change orders, invoices, and payment applications for contract compliance and cost accuracy.
  • Track project financial performance and provide clear reporting to project stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with project teams, contractors, and client representatives to ensure cost objectives are achieved.
  • Assist with program-wide cost reduction initiatives and forecasting efforts.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for clients regarding project cost management activities.
  • Travel to project sites or client offices as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years of construction cost management, estimating, quantity surveying, or related experience.
  • At least 1 year of data center construction experience required.
  • Experience supporting hyperscale, mission-critical, or large-scale infrastructure projects strongly preferred.
  • Background in a construction consultancy, cost consultancy, owner's representative, or project controls environment is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of budgeting, cost control, forecasting, financial reporting, and project accounting principles.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Professional certifications such as RICS are welcomed but not required.
