The Planet Group is looking for a Retail Audience Marketing Specialist to join our client, a market-leading technology company that's transforming how organizations engage and empower their workforce.

Our clients Retail Audience Marketing team is seeking a strategic and collaborative marketing expert to drive growth across key retail segments and buying audiences. This role will develop deep expertise in the retail industry, including store operations, frontline workforce challenges, and evolving customer expectations to deliver messaging and programs that resonate with retail leaders. 

You will partner closely with sales and cross-functional teams to create actionable, insight-driven messaging and content that supports pipeline generation, account engagement, and revenue growth across campaigns, field programs, and events. 

  • Location: Hybrid in Weston, FL (T-TH in-office)
  • Pay: $48-$52/hr depending on experience 
Retail Audience Marketing Specialist Responsibilities: 
  • Retail Audience & Message Strategy 
    • Define retail audience segments (e.g., store operations, HR, workforce management leaders), buying triggers, and customer journeys aligned to key retail priorities such as labor optimization, employee retention, and customer experience 
    • Build differentiated messaging that connects retail business challenges to measurable outcomes  
    • Partner with field marketing, sales, and brand teams to ensure messaging is consistent, customer-centered, and drives engagement and conversion 
  • Content Development & Storytelling 
    • Develop retail-specific, customer-led content (customer stories, sales talk tracks, campaign assets, executive briefs) that enable sales conversations and support account-based engagement 
    • Translate complex retail workforce challenges into clear, compelling narratives that demonstrate business value and real-world impact 
    • Align content to campaign priorities and field needs to improve sales activation and accelerate deal progression 
  • Program Activation & Field Alignment 
    • Translate retail audience strategy into programs that activate across campaigns, industry events, field marketing, and sales plays 
    • Partner with field marketing and sales leaders to ensure messaging and content are consistently used in-market and aligned to pipeline priorities 
    • Support execution by connecting strategy to real-world selling moments (events, customer meetings, industry engagements) 
  • Optimization & Innovation 
    • Leverage data, field feedback, and AI-driven insights to refine segmentation, improve messaging effectiveness, and scale high-impact content 
    • Continuously identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, and elevate retail marketing programs to better support sales outcomes 
Retail Audience Marketing Specialist Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field required  
  • 6+ years of experience in marketing, content strategy, or audience/industry-focused marketing  
  • Proven track record as a strong marketer with the ability to develop clear, compelling, and sales-ready messaging and content that drives business outcomes  
  • Experience with retail marketing or supporting retail-focused go-to-market strategies, with an understanding of retail operations, customer experience, and frontline workforce dynamics preferred  
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with experience working closely with sales, field marketing, and product teams  
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills 
Preferred Qualifications: 
  • Experience in B2B SaaS, workforce management, HR technology 
  • Experience developing industry-specific messaging, campaigns, and go-to-market programs 
  • Ability to translate industry insights into actionable strategies that support pipeline and revenue growth
