Job Description

Our client is seeking a strategic and hands-on digital technology leader to own the vision, strategy, and execution of enterprise digital business platforms that support Sales, Marketing, eCommerce, and Customer Experience functions.

This role will be responsible for defining and driving the roadmap, governance, and operational excellence of a modern digital ecosystem while leading a small team of business analysts and technical resources focused on platform optimization, integration, and user experience enhancement.

The ideal candidate is a strong hybrid leader--comfortable operating at the executive level on strategy while also guiding delivery teams through execution. This individual brings deep experience in digital platforms, cross-functional leadership, vendor management, and emerging technologies such as AI-enabled capabilities and automation.

This position reports directly to the CIO and partners closely with leaders across Sales, Marketing, Customer Experience, and Operations.


Key Responsibilities Digital Platform Strategy & Roadmap
  • Define and maintain a multi-year roadmap for digital business platforms aligned with enterprise growth and customer experience objectives
  • Translate business priorities into scalable, well-governed technology initiatives with clear ownership and execution plans
  • Partner with Sales and Marketing leadership to identify opportunities to improve acquisition, engagement, conversion, and operational efficiency
  • Lead platform modernization efforts, including evaluation and adoption of emerging technologies such as AI, automation, and digital experience tools
  • Establish governance and intake processes for prioritizing digital initiatives
Platform Ownership & Business Process Leadership
  • Provide strategic oversight of enterprise digital platforms supporting eCommerce, CRM, content management, product information, digital assets, and related integrations
  • Ensure platforms are scalable, secure, maintainable, and aligned with business objectives
  • Drive continuous improvement of customer journeys and internal digital workflows
  • Improve process maturity, data quality, and user adoption across platforms through collaboration with business stakeholders
AI & Digital Innovation Leadership
  • Identify and implement practical AI use cases that enhance productivity, customer experience, analytics, and automation
  • Partner with business leaders to evaluate and prioritize AI-enabled opportunities across marketing, sales, and customer engagement
  • Promote responsible adoption of AI through governance and change management practices
  • Stay current with evolving digital commerce, AI, and customer experience technologies
Team Leadership & Organizational Development
  • Lead and mentor a small team of business analysts and technical resources supporting digital platforms
  • Establish clear priorities, accountability, and execution discipline within the team
  • Build a high-performing, customer-focused, and collaborative team culture
  • Develop standardized processes, documentation practices, and delivery methodologies
  • Balance strategic initiatives with ongoing operational support needs
Vendor & Partner Management
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, implementation partners, and digital service providers
  • Define performance expectations and ensure accountability for delivery quality and alignment
  • Oversee vendor-led initiatives including upgrades, integrations, and roadmap execution
  • Support vendor selection and evaluation in partnership with IT leadership and procurement
  • Ensure external partners adhere to security, integration, and governance standards
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Serve as the primary technology partner to Sales and Marketing leadership for digital initiatives
  • Align business goals, user experience, and technical execution across teams
  • Communicate effectively with executive stakeholders, technical teams, and external partners
  • Drive collaboration across IT and business functions to ensure successful delivery of initiatives
Operational Excellence & Governance
  • Ensure platform reliability, performance, and lifecycle management
  • Oversee enhancement prioritization, release planning, and change management processes
  • Define and track KPIs to measure platform effectiveness, adoption, and business value
  • Support data governance, integration standards, and security best practices across platforms

Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Extensive experience leading digital business platforms, enterprise systems, or digital transformation initiatives
  • Proven leadership experience managing and developing teams
  • Strong background working across Sales, Marketing, Customer Experience, and IT organizations
  • Deep understanding of digital commerce ecosystems, CRM platforms, and customer engagement processes
  • Experience owning technology roadmaps and leading enterprise application initiatives end-to-end
  • Strong vendor and partner management experience in a SaaS and digital ecosystem environment

Preferred Experience (Nice to Have)

Familiarity with or exposure to enterprise platforms and capabilities such as:

  • Digital commerce platforms
  • CRM ecosystems
  • Content management systems
  • Product information management (PIM) solutions
  • Digital asset management (DAM) platforms
  • Retail or point-of-sale systems
  • API integrations and middleware concepts
  • Analytics and reporting tools
  • AI-enabled business applications and workflow automation tools
