App and Gameplay Expert
Location: Onsite schedule in Culver City, CA
Schedule: 40 hours
Duration: 3 months
Pay: $65-$67 DOE
The Planet Group is looking for an App and Gameplay Expert to join our well-known Fortune 500 client on a 3-months contract, working a onsite schedule in Culver City, CA.
App and Gameplay Expert | Qualifications:
- At least 5-7 years experience in game industry, tech, or media production.
- Deep knowledge of and passion for apps and video games-- across mobile, PC, console, and VR -- with an understanding of industry vocabulary, popular IP, history, and trends.
- Ability to explore and play any app and video game and learn it front-to-back-- understanding various gameplay mechanics, narrative, characters, art-style, etc
- Effectively communicate the above concepts to a creative team through Keynote presentations
- Experience capturing app and gameplay footage for media use such as app demos and video game trailers, gameplay videos, on-store content, etc
- Understanding of visual storytelling through cinematography and video editing
- Strong collaborative skills, able to work and communicate efficiently with a larger creative team
- Proficiency of editing platforms FCPX and/or Adobe Premiere
- General knowledge of iOS and MacOS devices and can easily troubleshoot
App and Gameplay Expert | Description:
- You will be the go-to person on the Video Team for any questions related to apps and games on the platform and will help bridge knowledge of these apps and games with a keen eye for visual storytelling.
- You will be responsible for researching current and upcoming game and app titles, creating research documentation for our creative team to use as a resource, capturing and editing app and gameplay moments for use in on-store video deliverables, and keeping current with any on-store or marketing campaigns and app/game updates.
- The app/gameplay expert role will support our creative teams by educating them on individual apps and games and provide guidance through creative review.
