We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable professional to lead daily AP operations and oversee cash disbursement processes within a university environment. This role is responsible for supervising AP staff, ensuring timely and accurate payments, maintaining compliance with university policies and IRS 1099 reporting requirements, and supporting month-end and year-end accounting activities.

Key responsibilities include managing vendor payments, ACH and wire transactions, reconciliations, expense reporting, audit support, escheatment compliance, and maintaining secure vendor documentation including W-9 and ACH records. The role also partners closely with campus departments and vendors to provide guidance, resolve payment issues, and ensure compliance with purchasing and disbursement policies.

The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, analytical, and process management skills, along with experience working within an ERP environment such as Workday. Prior experience in higher education, accounts payable operations, 1099 reporting, and financial reconciliations is highly preferred.
