PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
The Supply Chain Planning & Optimization Analytics role supports clients operational and strategic objectives by combining production and inventory planning with advanced analytics, forecasting, and optimization. This position is responsible for developing finished good production plans, fruit utilization, and inventory plans while leveraging enterprise data, and analytical tools to improve decision-making, efficiency, and financial performance. The role partners cross functionally with field operations, sales, and plant teams to ensure aligned, efficient, and informed execution of business plans.
This role sits at the intersection of supply chain operations and data science, transforming complex datasets into actionable insights and scalable analytical solutions that enhance planning accuracy, optimize inventory, and drive continuous improvement across the organization.
WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
This position reports to the Director of Planning and does not supervise staff. The position works closely with Finance, Information Services, Fruit Procurement, Co-pack facilities, QA, Sales, Marketing, Demand, Customer Service, Traffic, Purchasing, Contract Manufacturing, Engineering, and software consultants.
- Partner with cross functional business stakeholders to deliver data driven planning and optimization solutions that support operational and strategic decision making.
- Build and maintain forecasting models and scenario analyses to improve demand planning accuracy, production alignment, and inventory positioning.
- Implement optimization approaches to balance service levels, inventory costs, capacity constraints, and waste reduction across the supply chain network.
- Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, risks, cost drivers, and opportunities; translate findings into actionable recommendations for production, inventory, and demand planning.
- Develop and maintain business dashboards and reports using approved enterprise tools to provide visibility into supply chain performance. Manage documentation of data definitions and reporting requirements.
- Manage finished goods and aged inventory for assigned product lines; apply analytical techniques to identify at-risk inventory and recommend disposition strategies.
- Perform root cause analysis on MRP and planning discrepancies and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Develop scalable solutions to present recurrence through improved data quality and system enhancements.
- Oversee production planning and inventory coordination with assigned manufacturing facilities; evaluate performance data and adjust plans based on analytical insights.
- Define, monitor, and enhance operational KPIs; lead data-driven continuous improvement initiatives across planning and execution processes.
- Support data integrity by defining business rules, validating outputs, and escalating data issues.
- Lead and participate in cross-functional planning cadences; clearly communicate complex analytical insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Continuously improve technical and analytical capabilities through training, certifications, and application of supply chain planning, forecasting, and business analytics best practices.
- Perform under the Working Conditions described below
- Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and supply chain planning principles
- Production planning, inventory management, and demand forecasting methodologies
- Data analysis, statistical modeling, and optimization techniques
- Ability to interpret and validate data using standard query and reporting tools. Advanced SQL is a plus.
- Proficiency with advanced Excel and reporting and analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar preferred.
- Working knowledge of enterprise data concepts, including data definitions, data quality, and how to partner with Information Services on data and reporting requests.

- Exercise independent judgment in planning and decision-making
- Leverages enterprise technology tools--including AI, word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and collaboration platforms--to analyze information, support decision making, and communicate effectively.
- A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, Operations, Data Science, or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
- Two plus years of experience in data analytics, supply chain analytics, or related field.
- Strong experience with SQL and data extraction required.
- Experience building business reporting, forecasting, and scenario analysis using enterprise analytics tools preferred Experience with forecasting, optimization, or statistical modeling preferred.
- Experience in supply chain, production planning, or inventory management preferred.
