Location: Atlanta, GA 30308
Contract Length: 3.5-year Contract
Rate: $69/hr - $74.37/hr
The Data Analyst is responsible for supporting business decision-making through analysis, data modeling, reporting, and the management of enterprise data assets. This role partners closely with business and technology teams to deliver high-quality data solutions, dashboards, and insights. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical and technical skills with project coordination capabilities and experience using Microsoft, cloud, and BI platforms. Familiarity with low-code tools is preferred to support process improvement and automation initiatives.
Data Analytics Analyst 3 Description
- Collect, analyze, and interpret complex data to support business decisions and operational insights
- Develop and maintain data models (conceptual, logical, physical) to support analytics and reporting use cases
- Build, optimize, and manage databases, data tables, and structured datasets
- Develop BI dashboards and reports using Power BI, ensuring accuracy, usability, and performance
- Support data pipeline development in Databricks, including data cleansing, transformation, and validation
- Execute project coordination tasks, including requirement gathering, documentation, prioritization, and stakeholder communication
- Contribute to data quality, governance, security, and metadata documentation efforts
- Produce recurring and ad hoc analysis, KPIs, and performance metrics for leadership and business partners
- Collaborate with IT, business, and analytics teams to ensure data needs are well-understood and met
- Utilize low-code tools (Power Apps, Power Automate) to support workflow automation and minor application enhancements
- Identify opportunities to streamline data processes, improve reporting, and enhance data accessibility.
Data Analytics Analyst 3 Qualifications
Required
- Strong experience with data modeling (dimensional/star schema, relational modeling, enterprise data structures)
- Proficiency with SQL and relational databases (Azure SQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with Power BI including DAX, Power Query (M), and dataset modeling
- Working knowledge of Databricks, Delta Lake, and notebook environments for data preparation and analysis
- Experience with ETL/ELT concepts, data validation, and performance optimization
- Strong Excel skills (Power Query, Power Pivot, advanced functions)
- Ability to translate business questions into analytical requirements and datasets
- Experience coordinating and managing small to mid-sized projects or workstreams
Preferred
- Exposure to low-code platforms such as Power Apps and Power Automate
- Familiarity with cloud analytics tools (Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Fabric, etc.)
- Experience with scripting languages (Python, R) for data transformation or automation
- Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, and data stewardship practices
- Exposure to visualization best practices and UI/UX design for dashboards
- Knowledge of Databricks SQL or Spark SQL for analytical queries
