Job Title: Sr. Clinical Informatics Modeler
Location: FULLY REMOTE
Contract length: 6 months
Schedule: Fulltime
Pay: $55-$65/hr
Role Overview:
The Sr. Clinical Informatics Modeler will work independently to implement complex clinical chat programs within our conversation platform. They leverage their clinical knowledge, advanced analytical skills, and technical acumen to design and implement clinical decision support frameworks, driven by patient-generated health data.
This position will collaborate with engineering and integration teams to support and oversee incoming data (file import, API) and outgoing data (e.g., pushing data into Epic Flowsheet), accounting for program-specific context surrounding how data will be utilized and stored within our taxonomy. Collaboration will also include working closely with our analytics, engineering, and product groups to provide detailed requirements to drive platform efficiencies. In addition to using advanced problem-solving skills, they will lead efforts in clinical program enhancements, bug fixes, and documentation of best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with healthcare partners and Clinical Informaticists to manage and maintain clinical chat programs
- Organize information through leveraging and/or adjusting our Taxonomy to best support program needs
- Maintain interoperability aspects of a program (e.g., coding and selection of data elements for Epic Flowsheet integration)
- Design import specifications, including appropriate data elements
- Code SFTP file imports
- Manage program updates from both a modeling and file import perspective
- Leverage APIs to facilitate development and QA testing
- Oversee EHR and Amwell platform integrations
- Partner with Analytics team in the collection and coding of appropriate data for measurable program outcome
- Manage multiple projects and prioritize multiple tasks within those projects
- Create and maintain technical documentation for informatics, related to the modeling process, taxonomy, and integrations
- Work in conjunction with QA manager to design clinically- and functionality-focused testing plans
- 5-6 years total experience:
- 3+ years experience in delivering healthcare, or supporting the delivery of healthcare
- 3+ years demonstrative experience with supporting informatics solutions in the context of clinical processes, e.g., support of clinical information flow for decision support, development of patient facing applications, or equivalent work
- Familiarity with clinical taxonomies and ontologies, how they are organized and used in organizing health care data, particularly in the context of interoperability
- Comfort and familiarity with a range of software tools (Microsoft 365, Lucidchart/Visio, Jira, etc.) to produce documentation and figures, manage tasks, etc.
- Ability to work remotely with dynamic teams across a wide range of time zones, and stay on top of multiple projects
- 3+ years demonstrative experience in a coding language, preferably JavaScript
- Experience in knowledge engineering and workflow optimization in a healthcare setting
- Experience in patient-facing informatics solutions (e.g., patient engagement solutions)
- Advanced degree in Biomedical Informatics (master's or higher)
Bachelor's Degree in a healthcare related field, with additional experience in Biomedical Informatics
